Gettin' there...
Right then, not such a newbie as I was. Starting to get a grasp on just what a mind-boggling big site h2g2 is.
I live in the South West, and work in L-Space(a library to non-Pratchett fans).
Music preferences: Eclectic, I like bits'n'bobs from all over the place, but favorite groups include U2, Radiohead and The Dandy Warhols.
Interests: Walking, books, and ornif..orniff...going birdwatching - I'm a member of the RSPB, local ornifff(u know wot I mean) club, and do the odd bit of conservation work for rspb and local wildlife trust, oh! and I love going to the cinema.
Books: I like Science Fiction, I used to be a huge fan and have been to various conventions, including a couple of World Cons. I don't read so much of it now though, I read 'classic crime', history, natural history - a bit eclectic again, though I always have time for William Gibson.
Films: Probably me getting old, but I prefer the films I see these days to have a bit of plot, and some decent dialogue and acting. Pretty much gone are the days I would go and see any old blockbuster, regardless.(yeah, definately gettin' old).
That's about it for now, and the page will just have to stay looking this boring 'till I work out how to add the pretty pictures.
