A Thor Question....
Awix Posted Feb 28, 2005
Err... no. But then Thor's not a character I have much fondness for (I was one of the minority cheering when Superman kicked his ass in JLA Vs Avengers) and Essential Thor 1 isn't one I often return to.
I see they've got round to Essential Peter Parker and Essential Luke Cage though... where's Essential FF 4? Where's Essential She-Hulk? Bah.

From January on in it's Essential Thor 2, Luke Cage, Iron Man 2, Defenders, Dr. Strange 2, Hulk 3, Daredevil 3, Tomb of Dracula 4, Marvel Two-In-One (a site rumours X-Men 6 & ... ... Man-Thing) and what's this?
July... Fantastic Four 4!
Bet you get Essential Ka-Zar before She-Hulk

Essential Defenders and Hulk sound tasty... Man-Thing and Doc Strange sound interesting but... mmm.... not sure. Essential FF 4 is a must.
Konwing my luck you're probably right at that. But given the current hoopla surrounding Shulkie I haven't quite given up hope...

Well, apparently She-Hulk is being re-re-launched very soon... quite what's going on there I've no idea - this even beats Aquaman's record for getting cancelled and then revived in the shortest time...

Oh ha ha and so original.
Look, stick Aquaman in the middle of Gotham City and he's still capable of kicking serious butt. Stick Batman at the bottom of the Mariana Trench and he's instantly dead.

End of the month eh? Ready to decide if you're reviewing for SSS? (Funnily enough a teaser came on BBC as I was about to post this...)

Aquaman's more interesting than Namor. Plus can talk to fish but not fly.
If I'm going to talk about That it will most likely be under my own banner as SSS seems aimed at the casual viewer and I am far from a casual viewer of that particular show...
(Due to being out at the pub all last night I missed the first few teaser showings - got home to find messages from my virtually my entire family waiting all saying 'IT'S BEEN ADVERTISED!!!!' Bless.)

No, all I mean is that as a (ahem) fairly hard-core DW fan my response to the show will most likely either be 'yes, that's the best show on television!!!' or 'it's an aberration - have every copy destroyed!!!' with not much in between. Plus I'll be judging it on different criteria to most folk.
However, I was going to suggest we do a sort of co-review thing where you watch it as someone who isn't familiar with or a fan of the classic show and we compare your response to mine... of course I insist on copy approval.
If that sounds good to you then contact Shazz and ask for my new email address and we can work it out that way.

I was thinking for something like that for SSS' future in the long run. Someone adding a second opinion to my rants and give it some weight beyond being the themetune man .
Yes, I've heard all about your polishing . Could give it a go though.
Key: Complain about this post
