Mega Mighty Marvel Movie question

What about it? Doesn't look like it's got much in common with the book but given how weird some of the famous Miller/Sienkiwicz stuff was that might be a bit of a blessing.

You do know about Essential X-Men 5 being out yes?
I think I read somewhere that Essential Fantastic Four #4 and Essential Hulk #3 are on the way this yearalong with those you deemed to be barrel scrapers.
I'm begging Marvel not to do Essential Ka-Zar or Sub-Mariner...

Oh Essential Marvel Two in One aswell.
Honestly the number of times people drop into the Savage Land. I was thinking of doing a guide entry on semi-significant fictional places in the Marvel Universe like the Savage Land, Astral Plain, Atlantis, Asteroid M/'Sanctuary' etc.

I seem to recall five or six of the Transformers spent thousands of yeas there buried in mud.
Don't forget the Great Refuge and the Blue Area...

Opinion on the FF movie trailer?
Mega Mighty Marvel Movie question
Awix Posted Jan 21, 2005
A bit mixed. I'm really not on board with this idea of Doom and the Four sharing an origin, and it looks a bit too hard edged, straitlaced - I like the classic FF stuff just cos it's so goofy and doesn't take itself at all seriously. Cool effects though, like that's any surprise.
BTW, picked up Essential Howard the Duck not long ago - well worth a look if you're in the market for collected editions.

I'm trying to get all the Essentials (which is why I don't want Essential Ka-Zar or Sub-Mariner made... ).
Do you not think Ol' Ben looks like he's made from rubber?
(You'll be happy to note that X-Men Evolution's Spyke was indeed Marrow-- ie his boney spikes went out of control and grew on his body thus wenttolive with the Morlocks )

Don't watch the cartoons...
Er, well, as you know there've been a number of Thing incarnations - the classic rocky Thing, the shortlived spiky Thing (checkout writeups.org for a pic) and the early lumpy Thing - which the movie makeup is a pretty fair approximation of.
To be honest I'm far more worried about whether the story's any good, they did a major number on the Green Goblin's appearance and he turned out reasonably well.

Thanks for the tip (sorry for not getting back to you earlier!).
I see the Man-thing movie shows every sign of going STV over here...

Oh you're still here? Thought you'd disappeared into the nether with the lack of posts.
Seen the Punisher movie yet? Apart from moments when the movie wasn't sure what it was supposed to be I quite liked it.

The best bit was John Travolta being dragged through the burning carpark.

Indeed. And there were some cracking lines:
"You killed one of my sons..."

It's the Marvel continuity you've got to worry about. Who knew Frank Castle's wife was Mystique?!

The actress that plays Punisher's wife is the same lady who played Mystique in X-men.
