What's good in the way of 8th Doctor Audios by the way? I've got a 45 minute commute to and from work, and I've run out of good podcasts.

Don't know about the recent (radio 5) stuff, but the rest is... okay. The problem is the producers opted for a *huge* story arc about the Doctor changing history, the companion being a... well that's a spoiler... then they go to... well that's another couple of spoilers... and the ultimate villain is... oh that's a spoiler too... and it's all a bit trying-to-be-different-for-its-own-sake, and very difficult to dip in and out of. (That said, Stones of Venice is good, and Chimes of Midnight is brilliant.)
I would really recommend some of the 6th Doctor audios if you can get 'em - it shows off what a massive range Colin Baker has (and you can't see that damned coat either). Would recommend Jubilee, The Holy Terror, and The One Doctor for starters.
The other Doctors' stories are generally of poorer quality but Spare Parts, Fires of Vulcan, The Master, and The Harvest are all very good (and sometimes exceptional).

New Dr Who comics. Semi-new-ish anyway.
I've ploughed through enough of Gary Russell's 'writing' in various media not to be rushing for the books he's writing... but the Mills/Wagner/Gibbons stories are *terrific* and I would definitely pick those up if I didn't already have the six different reprints Marvel and Panini have bunged out over the past 25 years. Hey ho...

You're a film buff - what did you think to Cloverfield?

*grumbling as sore point is mercilessly probed*
Haven't seen it. Not likely to soon either as all the movies here are dubbed into Italian, which I barely speak.
I just about managed to follow the plot of Requiem, but the next film I expect to see is Crystal Skull, and that won't be until June...

Ooh, that's no good. Not being able to see Cloverfield I mean.

One of many embuggerances which strew my way at present. Still, mustn't grumble...

Other than that, how's it all going?

Like I say, there are quite a few embuggerances - Japan was a walk in the park by comparison. Still, you can get used to almost anything given enough time (and no choice). Am even considering extending my contract.
