Thanks again for that, Greebs (Hootoo's answer to Lady Deathstrike) , but I'm afraid you scratched one of my niblicks pulling it out. But at least I can use the bidet again now.
Ah... Christmas not far off... soon be time to put the mistletoe up...

Christmas is millennia off!
(not that I object to mistletoe and prezzies)

From grim experience I've learned that most people's attitude to mistletoe depends on who else is near it. And, occasionally, where it's actually hung.

As Einstein said, all things are relative. Most men would find little in that last post to become agitated about, but speaking as someone who last knew romance under a Tory government (the former was not, so far as I know, a direct result of the latter), the prospect of getting a digital is enough to make me need to go and lie down in the garden with a wet duvet wrapped around my head.

Me and my big mouth. That wasn't a complaint, just an observation. I'm hoping with practice and therapy to be able to tone it down to a slightly moist teatowel.
(Isn't this pathetic, a grown man trying to angle for more virtual es.)

If you read 'How to lose friends and alienate people' by Toby Young you'll feel better. I promise.

Why would I want to read it? I practically live it as it is.

'Practially'. He actually lived it. Therefore, you could be worse off.

True.
The book was almost forced on me by a girl who lives on the top floor, and I liked it, so I thought I'd pass it on.

Oh. Right. Is the title ironic or something? Cos I can already do the 'losing' and 'alienating' things effortlessly, rather too well for my own peace of mind.

Well, obviously it's a take on the 'make friends and influence people' thing, but I think it's more 'this is what I did, don't do it'.
