It's a lovely thought, Spook, and thanks awfully for thinking of me, but I rather suspect the Terranic army wouldn't be quite the same *with* me.

check with your military intelligence division thingy and you'll probably find me listed as a dangerous intellectual free-thinking dissident.

(unless you're looking for a scientific-philosophical-cultural advisor, but I reserve the right to argue a lot with whoever's supposedly in charge and always turn out to be right in the end...)

what a coincidence, the army was just looking for a scientific-philosophical-cultural advisor. i think u'd do great as our advisor who we never listen to but sometimes use when negotiating with other armies, especially the ones we don't like. what do u think? r u up to the job? if so, head over to the terranic army page right now and sign up and collect ur new .

'Other armies'? What other armies? Are we planning on declaring war on other online communities? Why is this not more widely publicised?

ok. but the armies we declare war on are h2g2 armies, adn it is all in good fun of course. we even made an alliance with the potato army.

Sorry to dip in to a conversation like this, but I do think you would enjoy it.As General of the Army I try to make sure things don't get out of hand (well actually spook, Rimmer and Me). Anyway just thoought I'd add my two pennies worth.

Plus as a veteran of the on-line version of Moria, where I was a very junior Orc, and a long-time synapse creature in the all-consuming Tyranic Hive Fleet, I know for a fact it's more fun at the top end of the chain of command!
