I used to love pizza.
then I worked in a pizzeria for a term
I didn't eat pizza for 2 years after that
now I am eating it occasionally

my mother loves pizzas I make... and makes me cook them every time I go home (I even do the fun stuff with the bases)

That sound good, but it must be said that I don't eat as many pizzas as I used to. But then again the ones I do eat now are much better.


Spiced Buns

Spiced Buns
To make around 10 buns

1lb strong plain flour/bread flour
1 level tsp salt
1 level tsp each ground nutmeg, mixed spice, cinammon
2oz sugar
1 beaten egg
1 sachet dried yeast
2oz lard, melted but not hot
1/3 pint, hand hot milk (110F) [suggest melt lard and then pour in milk to get both to right temperature]

Put everything in a bowl. Mix well. Knead for 10 minutes.
Leave to rise 1-1.5 hours.
Divide into buns (quite small).
Put on greased baking tray.
Leave to rise 15 mins.
Cook in hot oven 10-15 mins (180C).
Glaze while hot.

Glaze:
Dissolve sugar in warm/hot milk.
To glaze, brush with sugar/milk mixture.
