Nutribulletry
Posted Mar 27, 2016
Yesterday I processed a handful of green leaves, an unpeeled banana, green grapes and a plum without a stone with water. Delicious
Today I had spinach, a Granny Smith apple, cucumber. a few grapes and semi=skimmed milk. Slightly less delicious as I got the proportion of spinach and grapes wrong, but I drank it anyway. Not unbearable- just a bit strong.
The idea is to get more veg into me without too much cookery, but I shall have to do proper veg tomorrow as I won a gammon joint at bingo on Friday. (I won a bottle of washing up liquid as well, so I shall be able to wash the new saucepans I bought at the same time as the nutribullet -IF I can manage to screw their handles on with my dodgy wrist)

it;s happened again
Posted Feb 11, 2016
There's a red admiral butterfly fluttering on the inside of my bedroom window, It's far too cold to let it out, but last year a couple of its predecessors took months to die. I suppose the inside of the house is warm enough to tempt them out of hibernation, but I'm using a goose down duvet AND a hot water bottle in that room. Heaven knows what weather they are influencing on the other side of the world (or is that only yellow butterflies?)

For the record(er)
Posted Jan 27, 2016
Last night I went to the "music school" concert, where the eldest grandson was playing a couple of tunes on the recorder. I think it may be my least favourite musical instrument, closely followed by beginners violin, of which there were several. It's a good job I'm not trying a dry January.
The grandson liked his robocopter from the market in Hong Kong and had a good party with a Star Wars cake. His other presents all seem to be fiendishly difficult construction toys - far too complicated for his granny anyway.

Sunday lunch on the roof
Posted Jan 18, 2016
It stopped raining long enough to have roast chicken on the roof in the company of the chap who played Earnest in the importance thereof when I was Lady Bracknell (the friend I am staying with produced it). He brought his very nice girlfriend with him and she comes from the same part of Ireland as my elder son's wife.
We had to come downstairs into the flat to eat our home made tiramisu and 4 different sorts of cheese with home made bread, because the wind had got up too high for my liking.
The previous evening we went to the yacht club for a Bowie tribute evening. How the other half lives!
