Earliest Memories - Age 2, 3 and 4, Some a little older. Up to 13.
What's the earliest thing you remember? Tying your shoe laces? Potty training? Going to school? The death of a gold fish? Christmas Day? Stories told to you by elderly relatives?
That's all I do here - try to paste together things I remember, to see how far back I can go. One or two memories have been corrupted by repeated telling by brothers and sisters. Do I remember being pushed and cracking my forehead on the side of the door, Christmas Eve 1964. I was 3 and 3 months. Perhaps.
I had a dream that someone looing like Rolf Harris leant in over my cot. I was frightened. Did my Dad have a beard when I was 2? Was it an uncle or friend of the family. Did wearing a clamp on my left foot to try and straighten pigeon feet shake me into early consciousness and give these early memories something real to grasp on to?
Potty training I recall, also being taught to pee into a loo without spalshing the floor. Being a teenager is easy to recall, I have it all down in various volumes.
