My ego has lauched itself out of it's cage and demanded attention. So when you're sailing through my home, don't hesitate to leave a reminder that you've been here. State you're presence, right here.

Though Eric Clapton is, indeed, a guitar god, please give U2 the respect they deserve! War is a good album, though perhaps the production is a bit rough around the edges. Joshua Tree, though less politically charged, is musically better, maybe you should give that a listen?

OK then, I will listen to JT and give War another going over. Maybe I can make myself like it just by listening to it enough times. That's what happened with half of Nevewr Mind The Bollocks.

Oh goody! If you still don't like U2, that's okay, as you've already proved more open minded about music than I am.

The great thing about music is that it's great 4 sorting out mood swings.
If I am mad then I would listen to something like Eric Clapton, Cream or The Sex Pistols.
If I am sad then I listen to Iron Maiden.
Everything else depends on the nature of my mood swings.

Thanks CMF. I notice that you haven't snazzed your homepage up yet. If you want advice just ask me-I've done this sort of thing with Out Of Luck so this time round I should be a bit better.
Your nick seems to have some reference to Star Wars. That's the best I can do. Too good for me.
Though can you guess where my new nick has come from without looking at my homepage? (try not to spend ages on it like me, I've been too NIMH obssesed).

Well, I've listened to the album all the way through. I'll not mince my words: I don't like it.

I somehow found this thread without going to your use page first. It must contain some interesting keyword for which I was searching.
Hi. How're you? Nice to meet you...

It's 10:12am (GMT), I was partying from 7pm-5am last night, with four hours sleep afterwards, having drunk four cans of Carlsburg, two cans of Woodpecker and various champagnes.
So suffice to say, I'm a little worse for wear.
Happy new year everyone!

happy new year, I still haven't stopped drinking yet, so far I've got thru 24 cans of bud, 24 cans of heineken, 12 cans of fosters, 2 5litre kegs of bud, some vodka, and some champagne. Man did I have a hangover on new years day!

My friends held a part, Dec 18th. They brought as much booze as they could (which wasn't much) and ended up vomiting, peeing up walls, and requiring an ambulance.
Stupid people.

Hmph, leemmee lone!
Though I have a little soft spot for blues, it has to be said that whenever I go buying something new it will be metal orientated. I had my eyes on Clapton's Tears In Heaven. The song Tears In Heaven really brought a lump to my throught when I watched it on video, not least due to the links I draw between that song and Jonathan Brisby.

The album also has, apparently, When The Circus Left Town which sounds like one unbeleivably poignant track. I've gotta hear it.
As you can see from the Clapton albums I've got, they're more of the guitar-bashing period of the 60s, and the not-quite-bluesy period of the 70s and 80s.
Like you said, I really need to listen to some Clapton.

Bassman - Funny how people never ceases to amaze me! Posted Jun 16, 2000
A short piece for all you guys that push out 700Watts - give or take.
If I was a Bassman,
I'd spank my plank all day.
I'd work my fingers to the bone,
And then you'd surely say.
"Why play at such loud volume?"
And I'd have to retort,
"Small amps are for girlie whimps,
Unlike this monster that I've bought."
