<h3>Project and Work context Experience</h3>
I have worked for Western Power Distribution for 12 months. Before that I served in SWEB for 12 years (WPD took over the Electricity Distribution activities of SWEB 12 months ago). I joined SWEB
after leaving Exeter University in 1986 (Engineering Science BSc(hons) II(i)).
<p>
I have worked in the following SWEB departments:
Telecoms, Heavy Engineering, Systems Application Development, and Training.

<h3>Skills Set</h3>
During that time I have worked with Oracle, Visual Basic versions 1,2,3,4,5 & 6,
Active Server Pages (ASP) and also a series of CBT Authoring tools (CBT Express, Icon Author
and others) and Office tools (Microsoft Office, Lotus Smartsuite), as well as numerous internal
mainframe and stand alone systems.

<h3>Most Recent Projects</h3>
My most recent work has been the maintenance of internal WPD systems using Oracle tools Forms and Reports Designer/2000, for which I attended training courses at the Oracle Training Centre.
<BR/>
At the same time as I was completing the Oracle work, I was also developing an ASP implementation of some Online Tests (http://www.testcentres.co.uk" >http://www.testcentres.co.uk) so that this application (created in Visual Basic v3) which we currently run internally can be sold outside WPD. I am also responsible for the regular
additions to the WPD Safety Resources Catalogue. This is a Windows Help file which provides a sort of Safety 'Intranet' over our company LAN.

<h3>The job I am looking for...</h3>
The ideal job for me would be Internet Databases and/or Computer Based Training package development, working hours that I choose (probably 5am - 1pm weekdays, plus some weekends), from home..

<p>
<b>Hobbies</b>:<BR/>
1. ASP development<BR/>
2. Music teaching (Saxophone/Clarinet/Theory)<BR/>
3. Golf<BR/>
4. Bridge<BR/>
5. Puzzles etc. (solving and creation).<BR/>
<p>
My wife also plays and teaches music (piano) and helps occasionally in a <a href="http://www.fosterfinch.co.uk/craftcottage/" >http://www.fosterfinch.co.uk/craftcottage/">local craft shop</a>.
