naa... I don't do that* much really, just waht I can get away with... Well cept maybe the kitchen, but that is only because I have to follow my lodger about as if he was a child and clean up after he's been in there... smiley - dohsmiley - puff
I finally managed to drum up sufficient energy to do the sweeping and hoovering, and made dinner... though cooking seemed like too much heat generation to me, so made a king prawn ceiser salad, with some picalo cheerry tomatos, cucumber and spring onion on the side, and plenty of swiss cheese smiley - droolsmiley - blush Only now I'm not sure I can make it upstairs in order to shower smiley - puffsmiley - sleepy maybe some more vodka and water will help me to gain strength smiley - dohsmiley - erm

I spent the entire day basking on the beach smiley - biggrin Roasted nuts anyone smiley - winkeye

Now I'm back at work tonight. Last time I was over here I had to cut a swinger down, too late alas, he was long gone smiley - sadface I seen enough corpses in my time to know when the smiley - ghost has departed. A sad fact of life in my occupation, he wasn't the first and sadly won't be the last. smiley - erm

Cheers mate smiley - ok It does help to talk about it, I omit the gory details, some things you don't need to know.

I did enjoy sunning myself on the beach today, the perks of working nights for a change. smiley - cheerup

I've a friend who's a train driver these days (apparently that is what you do after you've got a degree in how to be an astronaught....) They get some unplesantness from time to time with suicide people deciding to use their trains to meet their end..... so smiley - hug again smiley - zen

Cutting a corpse down from a ligature wasn't on my list of things I wanted to do the other day, but hey ho, occupational hazard.
Why is it always me that gets nominated to go and cut the poor blighter down? The usual answer is because "You're totally ok and matter of fact about it, never bothers you like proper people". I really don't know what they're scared of, I always say "If he suddenly jumps up and says 'Boo', call the Vicar" smiley - winkeye
I also have a friend who is a train driver, his philosophy with track jumpers is just to look away. How many times have we heard on the Underground "Train delayed due to body on the tracks" smiley - shrug
I don't have the option to look away now or in the past, can't aim otherwisesmiley - winkeye One day there will be one body too many, then the rest will return to haunt me, till then smiley - shrug

we had a chap here who used to volenteer to be first in with a swinger and cut them down, he would proptly then take the rest of the week off on a sicky with stress,

he once had the best part of a month off like that

no.1 week off
nights no.2 nights off
rest week off
first day back no. 3 week off

he's retired now

I don't have that option, along with everyone else in this job, it just gives the management another opportunity to dismiss staff. smiley - cross
Besides, when the Duty Gov came in, I was stood supervising the SOCO taking pictures with a smiley - tea+smiley - cake in hand. The others are right, it really doesn't bother me, I've seen and dispatched enough in my time not to be phased by it, we all have our coping mechanisms. The time may come one day, when they all come back to haunt me smiley - ghost. Till then I sleep easy. smiley - zzz
