Seasons in the Sun
A truly nauseating record about two people who 'have known each other since we were 9 or 10' and in another verse who 'together we learned our A B Cs' Now I have only just thought that that could be a sexual metaphor, and not intended literally. If it is intended literally, then all I can say is that they learned to read pretty damn late.
I remember having a MAJOR row with my parents in the garden of a pub while it was being played. It came to mind today because it drifted in through my window at work this morning, and I am glad to say I do not know who sang it! I hold no responsibility for this post!

Set The Controls for The Heart of The Sun - Pink Floyd
(from twee and nauseating to psychedelic but bleak)
The ABCs song was Don McClean I think.

Heartbeat Go - Thomas Leer
No, Seasons in The Sun was sung by Terry Jacks. I remember it mainly for the spoof version we used to sing which changed the chorus to "as the sun got to hot, all the bogey turned to snot" - its incredible how creative 8 year olds can be
