Are you the same Also Ran researcher who posted to my space about being old 2 years ago and I seem to have ignored you?

If so, I didn't ignore you on purpose or for any horrid reasons. So many threads, so little time, and we are all 2 years older now.

I believe that I have been the only also Ran - although on the second occasion I took the name Also Ran1! Now I have been obliged to choose this wretchedly long name. !!

How nice of you to write. Yes I am old - next year I will celebrate my 80th birtdhay.(hopefully - unless I kick the bucket before then!!)


But I am realising that not only am I old, but I am getting tetchy and irritable and bad tempered!!.

I suppose traits which I had when I was younger but then I directed them to the correct places like against people who were oppressing others. Now I direct them towards people who insist on talking to the person who is pushing my wheelchair . Amazing how everyone seems to think that if one is in a wheelchair, de facto the brains have also gone out of the window.

Which I tell them in no uncertain manner and then they melt into the background!!. I am afraid that I am finding it very difficult to transform into the acceptable "old" lady - gentle, loving kind and altogether lovable !!. I am still fighting for rights.

That is why I love Dylan Thomas poem which he wrote to his dying father.

So I promise I shan't bite your head off!!. Or if I do please forgive me!!.
