I just came h2g2 a few days ago, I don't know how to make a new friend,I only add freely to the one who's online, I'm so glad receiving your feedback and I have added to you on my msn.

I come from China, 30 years old. I'm so exciting to come to h2g2,here people are from all over the world, I think I can open my eye there. But I don't know why you call h2g2 as hootoo? could please you tell me?

its an abreiviation of h2,h,oo,t,oo.

the link is one of many, if you put english, in the search box, you will find all the guides to english.

the best way to judge the ones you want to contact, is to look at any friends lists you have,and see their spaces, their intro or messages will give you some idea who they are and in most casses where they are

if you look on my space(click my name to acsess my space) you will find a message thread, what weather. it as uptodate ones on the h2g2, so you can follow the name back to see what their page is.

or use the online way, to check a page.

as people tend to come and go, its better to check with the online, at least you wont be leaving a message on a page that is no longer in use.

if i can help you, i would be happy to. but as i said, im not on a pc at home, its a special box, that only has emails, and the h2g2 is an email with a magic link, as we that have one call it.

apart from the h2g2 and bbc sites, i cant open any internet links or pages. i have to go to the local, cybercafe, and use a pc from an hour each time.it costs me £1 an hour. jim xx

when you say go home, are you using a cybercafe, or a library, or just at a friends or work jim

Hi Jim,I'm working at a shop where has a pc and I can get on the internet anytime, I also can get on the internet at home,but usually I come home late every day,I just go to h2g2 in shop.

i was thinking of a day in town, and an hour or so on the pc,but decided to leave it till tomz or wednesday.

to clarify what a digibox(digital box is)its a box that i can get upto 200 tv programmes and 50 or more radio channels, its also able to give me films and music.

ive been disabled since 1994, that was the last time i worked, i had back problems at the time, but was still working, then i had a few heart attacks, so now i dont do anything.

its a £1 an hour at the cybercafe, so i can only go two or three times a week, for a few hours.

i have acsepted you on the msn now, i sent a message but you where showing offline.

its now 9-50am here in england, ive only been up and about for 45 mins.

i was out yesterday, i dont think i will be in town today, the potatoeman delivers the spuds, and the housing as to repair a broken window catch,they might come to sort it today.

i will have to look on tv, to see what the time difference is from here to china.

i have a lady on here, only on once a month with bad health, that is in osaka japan, and i dont even know her time zone lol

if you are set on msn, as online all the time, i,ll acsess the msn messaenger when i go to the cybercafe next, and leave it active, for the hour or two im on.

here its about 11am upto 3pm. when i usually go on the pc, somewhere inbetween these times.

the cyber is also open on sunday from 11am till 7pm, so i try to have an hour about 12 miday.

i cant afford to go every day, usually about 3 or 4 times in the week, i had a pc at home but the harddrive went, and the motherboard was kaput, so i had to repair and sell it, as the cost of my sever went to dear as well. so now its an hour or so at the cyber or on here h2g2. jim xxxx

i live with a grt nephew, its my house, or the housing, he is a 32 yr old lodger. been here for over 7 yrs now, we dont have much to do with each other.

all my main family as passed on, mother,father. sisters, brother, uncles, aunts.

i have a niece, my lodgers mother, and a few neices and nephews in the lanacishire area of england.

i might have a son that was born in 1966, complicated to say the least, he rang me after 41 yrs about 3 months back, he lives in london,name tony.

his mothers still alive and not far from me,i found, she had, as i beleived in 1966, been cheating on me, so there is another man in the picture. i cant afford a dna, so i,ll never know.

i have a free buspass with being disabled, so at the moment i can travel all over yorkshire, next april it will be a new one that i can travel from scotland to london for free.

came back my hometown,I worked at a shipping company at Shenzhen city, at that time I had vacation and finance to travel twice in China every year. Afterwards I quited the job and came back my hometown, then I opened a shop at hometown,but it is a failure investment to open the shop, I only have a little income dealing in the shop and it occupied all my time, I must stay at the shop every day, now I have no time and money to travel, I must be working for living.

I want to improve my English in order to find a good job, so I make use of the internet to learn English when there is no customer in my shop. but sometimes I must be offline for selling something, just like yesterday I was offline a few minutes when I was chatting with you. but from now on, I will keep my msn online all the time so that we can meet on msn

im not at the cyber much, i have to travel to town, its about 2 miles to town, then walk to the other side to get to the shop.

what kind of shop have you in your hometown, and dont the family help you with it.if im right you arnt married.and look after yourself, like i have to.

ive more or less been looking after myself from 1966, that was when i first left home.

ive lived in a few towns since then, manchester, leicester, barnsley,sheffield, warrington,to name a few. i came back the bradford in 1980, when my sister passed on, about 5 years ago, i took over the house, its housing, i dont own it, and as inm disabled i dont have any rent to pay. jim
