Hmmmm...Innocent Exile
Ho-ho-ho...
Now, Supergr-ass...I've heard -of- them, but I haven't actually -heard- them. Dig?
Well, I might have heard them but not known it was them. It happens.

Go away for a day and the nymphomaniacs sneak in. It's worse than trying to keep the farm in order.
As for thinking of sex every six or eight seconds...with a small baby about to be in our bed, thinking may be all that happens for a while

I've noticed that my "Christianity v Nazism" guide entry has mysteriously vanished. A case of the bible-fuckers bending the fingers of the PRB? I shall investigate...
Not the first time an, *ahem*, 'anti-mainstream' article of mine has vanished...

Gee, Mike, (the ff variety), I really wanted to know that. Thanks for sharing - cause you know we teenagers don't get enough of that.
Man I am stressed - another month of school, finals on the horizon, too little sleep, too much work, parents on my ass every f*****g minute, singlehandedly trying to save my pet nonprofit from bankruptcy, baseball team, and an internet addiction to boot. But don't mind me if I'm a little touchy for the next month.
*sneeze* Did I mention I just ran out of allergy medication?

Io, I was wondering if you live on some kind of political leyline, because I heard that one of the chief organisers of the Million Mom March came from Merion...

Ioreth (on hiatus) Posted May 16, 2000
I hadn't heard that. I have several friends who live in Merion who went, but it wasn't them being referred to, as they're tenth grade girls. (pareil a moi) However I opted out on the MMM to go to an Orioles game with my family, as gun control is not an issue I feel ready to align with my fellow leftists on at this point.
Or maybe it's just less enticing without the cops in riot gear. Who knows.

Interesting discovery. I can go to my page of cancelled articles and uncancel the ones that the PTB have 'deleted' for me

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted May 16, 2000
MikA, maybe this would be a good time for a diplomatic confrontation with the PTB. Ask who's doing it and for what reason, even though I think you probably know. If I read you right, it isn't the deletion so much as the lack of consultation that annoys you, yes?

Obviously nothing is lost for ever, Mike A
The next step will be for them to start removing the text of your articles and putting something more respectable in.
Are you saying that they're doing this without even telling you? Wouldn't it make more sense, if they have an issue with what you're saying, to talk to you so you know what you're doing wrong?
Honestly, if this were a RL community there would be boot boys on every street corner enforcing the mad pronouncements of our beloved leaders.
Hmmm, Peta in jackboots! Now there's an idea.
(Io, ignore that last comment. It's obviously unsuited to your young sensibilities.)

Turns out Peta meant to tell me about it. She did actually. Problem is she's sending mail to the wrong address so I don't see it when I should. I asked her about this last time she gave me a telling off (this latest one is my third), but she didn't reply. Now, I want to get to the bottom of it.
Points I raised in my email were:
1. Bad language I need to cut down on. Full stop. Agreed.
2. The "Christianity v Nazism" article was cancelled because somebody found it offensive. So I asked why. If it's because of the token f word I used then I'm a bit miffed. But if it's because I attacked the world's favourite facist regime then I will flip. It goes to show the lengths that xtianity has gone to making us all brainless drones. Well, they'll never take me...
Of course, I'm asking Peta why this person got offended so that I can react accordingly.
3. My "Message to enemies..." article was the lyrics to Spit It Out by Slipknot, italicised and with the relevant points underlined. Somebody complained about this, so they cancelled it.
Why did they complain? Peta didn't say why? Was it because of the swear-filled lyrics, or the way I was directing them?
I asked Peta, "if I did a page of Slipknot/Marilyn Manson/Slayer/Bathory lyrics, would you delete it? Indeed, why haven't you deleted my Sex Pistols lyrics entries? Surely they are innapropriate too?"
So, I'm concerned about how the PTB are interpreting this. I noticed her mail included a CC list directing mail to Anna and Abi. This is actually necessary for them, methinks. Interesting to know that the whole of h2g2 Towers knows about my antics. Peta told me that if they kept my bad stuff on the servers they could be sued. This is why I haven't uncancelled my "Message to enemies...", but "Christianity v Nazism" came back because I think it makes valid points.

Fair enough.
I can't comment on the Christianity vs Nazism entry cos I haven't seen it, but I'll look for it later. If I can't find it you can send me a copy.
The business with song lyrics -- you don't have a stand on this actually, because you're reprinting copyright material without permission, and that will also get the Guide sued. It's one thing to quote lyrics in the threads but another to create formal pages. But Peta probably already told you that.

So can I get offended at Shim referring to his god as an eternal truth?
Or the constant assumption at the front page that we all drink copious quantities of alcohol?
I got offended at some people not having a sense of humour about their nationality and look where that got me!
Perhaps 'they' should just define their values clearly, and in public, so we know what's nice and what isn't before we go to all the trouble of giving them our time and effort to create their little dotcom cashpile for them. Sorry, to create this extremely worthwhile guide for them.
Mike (A), forget it. Just publish entries about bunny-wunnies and your favourite cocktails in future. I mean what's the point in ranting at someone who can delete you (they think!) at the click of a mouse? Over what?
Have fun, play the game, let the vogons win. It's their loss.
PS Does anyone know what Peta looks like? I have this thing for women in uniform.
