No, that's finished for the season now I'm going to meet my cousin in town tomorrow for a lunchtime pint and to shop for a present for my aunt, who is 40 tomorrow - big party tomorrow night!
As I don't have a car at the moment, I'm planning to finish some volunteer work for the wildlife trust over the next week or so. I've got an article to write on how to organise a bird survey for them, my birding results to finish and then I'm going to pull all the wildlife records for the year together. Our site will have a great biodiversity study, and I'll have something extra for my CV

that sounds like a fulfilled life, with family, work, hobbies and voluntary work and everything - you know, when I hear that, I think I'm quite happy that I'm too for all this now

Heehee, the week's not over yet...
I've totally arsed up my PS after responding to a call for help on the DNA testers group
Maybe I just just give up on it and write the whole week off as a bad one?
Gotcha !
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Sep 15, 2006
everything's gone, the pic, the links, everything t was still there earlier today, so what the ehll did you do ? Can't you undo it?
I'm sorry you had such a bad week
Gotcha !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 15, 2006
I can't say what I actually did, because testing is supposed to be confidential so I'm not allowed to discuss it. It doesn't seem to undoable...
Oh, well - it needed a revamp anyway

Ok, where are the tags, eh? And I've never before seen the last bit, did you do the description yourself ? I've compared with mine, found out that It's a very old one, which is funny
Gotcha !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 15, 2006
I'm re-writing it now, but I can't find some of the code I used before so it's a bit of a struggle - re-finding the links to everything, too!
Which description do you mean?
Gotcha !
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Sep 16, 2006
Ever heard of cut and paste ? I have a copy of my guide ml PS, saved as a 'google mail', - just in case everything would happen at the same time, like me accidentally deleting my PS and then the PC crashing with a total loss of data I've lost all my data when my notebook crashed, so now, I'm rying to have a safety net 'online'.
I hope you'll have a good time with your cousin, hope you'll find a nice for your auntie ( she's younger than me )and generally have a good weekend.
Try not to get worried,
Try not to get onto
Things that upset you,
Cause you know
Everything's all right,
Yes, everything's fine
Gotcha !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 16, 2006
No, I don't do the whole copying thing. Until yesterday, I thought the only way I'd lose it would be if the BBC servers crashed; I hadn't banked on stupidity! Still, I have to admit I enjoyed having a bit of a re-design yesterday, even if it's not finished yet
My pond is still flipping draining, I want it to drop enough so that I can get a good look at the hole without having to dredge it again. Hopefully, I'll get the meadow seeded next week, if I haven't gone insane by then
Good Luck !
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Sep 16, 2006
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, re: pond and meadow. Do you have nice warm weather ? We do, much to the chagrin of my sons, who suffered through incredible
heat for the first half of their holidays, and cold and wet in the second half, and now that they're back to school, the weather is fantastic.
Yes, life isn't fair, sometimes.
Good Luck !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 16, 2006
Yes, the weather is pretty nice. It's warm and sunny, but it does feel like autumn is just around the corner - it gets dark quite quickly, and the late evening is a little chilly. I think in a couple of weeks, we'll be properly into autumn, which is why the car problem is so frustrating. I was really hoping to get some of my outdoor work done while the weather is nice, but then Devon is beautiful at any time of year
Good Luck !
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Sep 16, 2006
True, it gets dark quickly, but the evenings are surprisingly warm, even until relaively late
And it's still dark wehen we get up in the mornings, which I find awful, when they'll change the time back in October, it'll be too late, they really should give us our hour back now.
What will you do about the car ?
I bet Devon is always beautiful, but the weather isn't necessarily good, is it ?
I really must try to go o Devon once - maybe I'll have the time and money in a few years.
Good Luck !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 17, 2006
Yes, not much to complain about, but I reckon autumn proper is just around the corner
I'm hoping to hear something from the mechanic soon about a replacement engine; it won't be cheap, but I really need to get back on the road again. Work to do, you know...
Devon is surprisingly good for weather, especially on our side as Dartmoor tends to take all the rain. When it's hot, there's always air, it never gets really stifling here as there aren't any really big centres of population or industry. You'd always be welcome
Good Luck !

Hi Rich, did you have a good evening at the party ?
I've just been to your page where you list all your entries - I'm suitably impressed
Good Luck !
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Sep 17, 2006
That's funny, a simpost
Thanks Rich, if ever I make it to Devon, I'll let you know so we can meet if you can free yourself from work for a bit.
And you know where i am if you should make it to Frankfurt once - even if only to change planes here
Good Luck !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 17, 2006
I have been to Frankfurt, and it was to change planes! We were flying back from Bombay on Lufthansa in 2000, and my luggage was in Frankfurt for almost a full day
What do you think I should have for dinner, fish and chips or curry? Feeling a bit delicate today , so as much as I'd like curry I think it might be a bit much...
Good Luck !
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Sep 17, 2006
Hmmm, difficult, isn't fish & chips relatively fatty ? I'm not sure I'd cope with fat food when .
Here, have some Alka Seltzer &
Good Luck !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 17, 2006
Hmmm... but aren't bacon and eggs a great hangover breakfast? I think I might have to pop round the chippy... Got to eat something, I'm soooo hungry now the booze is wearing off!
