Hmmm, but that's only 25 - 30 minutes, and anyway, can't your cousin come to meet you ? Maybe you can lure him with cake ?
Good Luck !
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Sep 20, 2006
Well, I thought about suggesting that earlier, but thought I'd better not try pointing out the bleeding obvious in a rather circuitous way

I used to love doing that as a kid. Then when i got aware of the risk of eggs being full of salmonellae, I never did that agin, didn't allow my kids to do that, either - and that although I buy fresh eggs from the health food shop I work in. Must dash now, should be back later or even late maybe, my day off tomorrow.
Enjoy your cake and pin bowling etc.
Good Luck !

I'm back I left way before it was finished, mind, I couldn't quite believe me when my son told me his teacher would talk too much - now I know better.
It was a bit like a slapstick comedy: teacher started telling something, then was interrupted by the head of the department who came to introduce himself. That didn't take so long, so on she went. Then came - surprise, surprise, the teacher for mathematics, who wasn't invited but thought she'd come to say hello anyway. She talked and talked, and eventually left. Ok, on we went, for a while, and I hoped teacher would finish soon, when - a mother started telling us that her son was disappointed that there isn't a volunteer working group for informatics, and that hee son wasn't interested in joining the -possible- club, yadda, yadda.. It didn't look as if this was going to finish soon, so i went home.

Good grief, that sounds like a whole lot of fun! They'll probably still be yakking tomorrow...
Well, the cake has turned out great, except that I beat the cream for a few seconds too long! The bread is still doing the expanding thing, so I'm probably going to pick up a curry when I put it in the oven! The smell is making me soooo hungry
Good Luck !

I'm glad I can't smell it here, I haven't had tea, and I'm not hungry, which is good, because there's nothing in the fridge anyway
Didn't you cook some curry only recently ? You should have cooked a large portion(btw, that's where a pressure cooker comes in handy )and freeze some of it.
Good Luck !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 20, 2006
I haven't cooked curry for a couple of weeks; it's so much better from the curry house I haven't got any food to cook at the moment anyway, what with the car not working I'm shopping in bits and bobs for now.
Funny enough, I thought of you earlier - I was looking for a cake tin and found a pressure cooker I never knew I had!
Good Luck !
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Sep 20, 2006
Who'd have thought that the sight of a pressure cooker would make somebody think of me
Once you can do proper shopping again, you really must use your pressure cooker

Odd world, isn't it?
I'm looking to a certain Entry now to teach me how to use it!
Off to get a curry in a sec, back agin in an hour or so

Don't know about the downtime here late at nights, but guess it will be soon. Hope you had a great evening and are stuffed with curry, and bread
Have a good night

Hi Rich, don't know if you're still around. Did you go for your walk yesterday ? We had some marvellous weather this weekend, doesn't really look like autumn, but I think the forecast is for cold and wet next week
Good Luck !
Skankyrich [?] Posted Sep 24, 2006
Yep, still here! I did go for a walk, it was really nice - not the ideal coast walk as a lot of it is urban, but it was a great day and there were some really nice stretches.
I'll pop on MSN soon, just got to finish an email and see what's in the freezer!
Good Luck !
aka Bel - A87832164 Posted Sep 24, 2006
Ok, I'll see you there then later. We had Bratwurst and French fries, as I'm not really motivated to cook on weekends, so it usually is something which is easy and quick.
The freezer's relatively empty since my son didn't close it recently, and I only noticed a good 12 hours later
Good Luck !

I'm just having my dinner - Swedish meatballs, a lot of potatoes and some of that I was talking about last night that wouldn't pass the profanity filter! Pretty tired myself tonight, long day at work and far too busy. I had several cups of tea, but every one went cold before I could drink it
