yeah things are pretty good here im babysitting my neice tonight so its a pretty noisy day as the kids are running around the house leaving lots of mess for me to clean up behind them.one of my nephews is here aswell and they have decided to play dressups its quiet funny because Akira my nephew is wearing my daughter Ambers clothes and she is wearing his but i told them to go out the back to play for a little while so i can start tea

You must have your hands full today with all the little people.
Anyway, it's real fun to have kids around the house.
I just returned and finished a late lunch (it's 2.30pm here). On saturdays my daughter and son go for guitar lessons - but today the boy has gone to watch the cricket.
Do you have time to follow any sports? I know Australians are sports fanatics !!!!
Please do write when free.

Hermione1 Posted Oct 13, 2007
Yes you are right it is good to have kids around but not all the time, thats the visiting kids i mean as you cant always not have your own children around.
And over here it is 7.40pm we have not long finished our teas and the kids are bathed and in Ambers room watching a dvd and im in between the computer and watching top gun on cable(austar is what it is called here)As for the sports i dont mind watching cricket(but only the one day matches)Or the 20,20 matches
And football NRL(rugby leauge)I follow the sharks and my partner(rick)and Amber follows, more like loves the knights.

I am happy to hear you like the shorter forms of cricket. I love to watch all forms of cricket.
I am not familiar with Australian Rugby League but I sure love to watch Rugby Union - The World Cup is on currently and the semi-finals begin today. I will be watching tonight 12 mid-night(SL time)onwards.

god i havent stayed up past 10pm in ages as my 6month old Lohla tends to wake up round 5-6am so if i dont go to bed early i find thati have problems staying awake for the rest of the day.
Over here the footy season has finished i think
Well i know the NRL has as we watched the grand final 2 weeks ago.And because we have cable they show every game thats played over the weekend and there are 8 games played and to make it worse they replay all 8 games on monday. We usually run a tipping comp each year which usually consists of around 15 people at $2 per person per week so we have to keep tabs on which team wins.It can get annoying sometimes. We usually get a house full of people on weekends too when the footy season is on

I see you are a hard working young mum. In my country things are a little different I shall tell you as time goes on.
It must be real fun when a whole bunch of people get together to watch "footy". By "tipping" do you mean betting?

Hermione1 Posted Oct 13, 2007
yes i did mean betting, sorry i keep forgetting im talking to people on the other side of the world and i have in the past written things down and they have asked me what in the world are you talking about i suppose its the aussie lingo(language).I started back at work a couple of weeksa ago and im still getting used it as trying to juggle the house and work can be frustrating sometimes even though my partner stays at home with the kids as he cant work due to back injury and is on restricted duties for the rest of his life.We cope though,we have too as we are paying of our house we just brought a month or 2 ago.Its good the kids are now sitting down watching back to the future as its 8.30pm and thats the movie that is on tonight. So hopefully they too will go to bed shortley as Loha is asleep and im pretty tired from running around behind the kids cleaning up.

Back to the Future is a super film !!
Don't worry about the "lingo" too much - I can figure out, I have many friends in Australia. In fact, I will be dining with a classmate of mine from Melbourne on Monday.
I am sorry to hear of your partner's injury - but I am sure you and your family will have bright future ahead. The start is difficult for everybody, anywhere in the world !!!
Shall not disturb your busy schedule anymore today.
Will keep in touch - Goodnight!!
