The Story of My Life (In Brief)
I was born on the sunny day of July 17th, 1986, in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Actually I believe it was night, but as it is not fixed in my memory either way and there is no-one in particular to contradict me, whatever.
I quickly moved on to bigger and better things, namely Canada. Well, bigger anyway. Here I acquired my direction in life: I was to be a scientist. I realized this after poking a dead bird with a stick. I believe it was a pheasant.
In Germany, I moved into a new house. It had three floors, five bathrooms, and a spiral staircase. It was also within skipping distance of the Rhine (In Bonn). I met Americans. They're actually not all that bad. Except for the bad ones. I was around ten at the time, so I was not of a particularly consistent opinion on the matter. I began to be interested in my Asian origins. I learned to read with two books: Ole Doc Methuselah, by L. Ron Hubbard, and Japanese Folk Tales, a scholarly anthology. Also French comic books.
England. Grandparents. Yeah.
Back in Canada, I continued to read Science Fiction and not make friends. Until I stopped. Not making friends, that is. I made several, and I've kept most of them.
The nineties. Star Wars. Pokemon. Anime. Yeah.
Suddenly, Y2K hit, and when it was over, I was in my first year of High School. I'm still not sure how that went. I recall French. Also more Anime. Evangelion. Lain. Yeah.
Second year. Hair. Programming. Girls. 9/11. Sort of yeah. Definitely yeah for the girl, though. Yeah.
Third year. More hair. More programming. More 9/11. More girls. Yeah.
Fourth year. More hair. Less programming. No math. Barely any girls. Manga. Yeah.
Then, abruptly I was out of High School, in a confusing but ultimately meaningful relationship, and bald. The baldness was actually voluntary and self-inflicted. I have photos. Also notable, throughout this period my interest in Japan increased and my interest in science waned. I realized I was a better artist than chemist, after all. And in my second year, I discovered the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy after several previous glancing impacts. It was love. So was most of that year, actually.
Now I find myself in Animation College, with a sword at my side and a ghost on my shoulder. No, I'm serious. The sword was my eighteenth birthday present and the ghost's been hanging around since high school (see 'love').
And now I'm wondering where I'll land, when I get out of class...

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
