I'll check out the link for magpies after supper, by which time your day will be in full-swing.
You must prepare a fire-break again? And control-burn so that shrubbery will flourish in the spring? That all seems so contrary to anything I have ever known. This net thingie IS astounding.
And hello to you, Lady E of the northern climes. I know that you too have so many threads to wander, and so I'm quite happy to have you share this one with us. Keeping life much easier and tidier for us all.

okay this is very weird your last posting Nic just suddenly appeared out of no where when I thought I put in mine to Weirdo07....
Maybe we need aspring clean on hootoo to
kjhef oops thats Jacks contribution to the thread did I ever mention we have six cats Tigger, Sardine, Wesley, Jack, Suki and Pusscat wizzy williams for the most part they live in their cat house but twice a day we bring them up to the house for a couple of hours and we let them run around while we cater to there every whim...
we have no mice or snake problems in side the house as a consequence

As for the fire break the bush grows back very fast so every year we have to clean it up and make sure that we have a fire track round the property and around every building or structure.... just means we get a slasher in and then Tom trims any branches that have grown above takes about a week to clear branchs but also gives us wood for the winter too.....that way a tender can get in unobstructed if needed during the fire season.

I do understand the need for the fire-break, and the trim-back. it's still just "different", ... Kinda like most of our plant-life expecting the thaw of a deep (20 inches or so) of frost, to tell them that it's time to wake up.
And oh yeah, I think this hootoo thingie needs a serious once-over with the dust rags, the "Hoover", and all that other domestic stuff.

Nope, I'm only a phantom and figment of an imagination.
How's stuff and life on the under-side of the world, Lady?

I'm not doing too badly tonight ... 'Twas a lonnnnng and loud day at work. So now that we had a simple supper of fried eggs and bologna, just a bit of TV. There's a program on Tuesday nights that we quite enjoy, "NCIS". Similar to CSI, but different.
Hey, are you gonna get a new colour on the car, after the repairs? maybe a bright girly-pink?
G'day Nick
hayayfi Posted Apr 3, 2007
blah Yuckky to the pink and it would clash with my hair.... nooo can't afford to and the insurance company wont spring for it either can't imagine why
So it will be boring old white which however is very practicle in the middle of summer here
I only have three more car payments left and then I officially own the car so I am thinking that I will have the apolstery updated to something that does not resemble a 1970's disco when I make the last payment... that and have some decent speakers put in and maybe have the central locking fixed and then I might have her resprayed and when she comes back instead of an Estima Emina wagon I will have the latest jaguar complete with Sting in the back not sure how Tom will feel about that double

hayayfi Posted Apr 3, 2007
Actually i have a pretty good idea how Tom will feel about Sting riding around in teh back of my Jaguar

With all of that work, you ought to include window blinds. Once Sting moves in to it, and you are evicted, you might want a bit of privacy.
And of course, the little shimmying hula-girl on the dash-board.

Just beware of wild mail-boxes. I hear that they've been leaping out all over the place.
And best wishes with enjoy the peace and tranquility when you can find it, over the next couple of weeks.

He's apparently a fairly popular musician in some crowds. Doesn't really do anything for me, strangely enough.

A few years back on tv a jaguar commercial by the car company was put out not really sure what he had to do with the car never really did get that but they showed you this add of a jag been driven through the countryside with sting in the back working on something proberly a song...as it is I actually happens to like some of his work does this make it easier to understand
