There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Sep 8, 2014
Oh, that's just reminded myself of the only line I can remember from a Jennings book, and I read plenty of them.
Teacher: You, Jennings. What does a bat do in winter, boy?
Jennings: Please sir, it cracks if you don't rub linseed oil on it.
Not the sort of bat the teacher was asking about of course

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Sep 8, 2014
Oddly... William and I were holiday planning today two holidays... probably for next year, well, one at least would be, the other, somewhat closer to home, might even be this year
Was almost too warm out... well, actually it was too warm out for me, but I've a very narrow operational temp range but was kinda nice at the same time, having it bright out...

I was inspired to google "bat massage". While oil isn't in use, I was not surprised to find a relevant vidya.

On an sidenote, why is it that when you find a list of links on Google to youtube videos right clicking the link and selecting "copy link address puts a huge, ugly, ridiculously long URL in your clipboard? Like this rather than the one above?

It probably has something to do with market tracking, but they really should know how annoying it is.

It's got to be something to do with tracking, either market tracking or just plain gathering data on where people have come from in their links, which is why, whenever I post a link, I'll usually (when I remember) take out the tracking guff. You can often see it quite easily. It might say something as simple as <?src=twitter> or something that notes the browser you're using.
Hell, I'll even take that stuff out when I'm opening a link myself.

I did not intend for it to stretch the page. Usually with URLs there are enough special characters that they don't stretch the page very far.
Besides, blame Google.

You see that scroll bar at the bottom and you just have to wonder.

Maybe, just maybe someone will come along and play silly buggers with the formatting.

Maybe something will get hidden way out at the end of the page...................

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Sep 9, 2014
but... surely... everyone likes a nice page stretch.... (nighthoover etc)
Yeh, I've always assumed those lon urls are for either tracking (r (how many refrals to our website, through google, how many through yahoo etc), or indeed, some other tracking thing (paid add cliks maybe?) or Google tracking something itself, rahter than the destination website tracking incoming clicks pah... who am I kidding; its almost certianly the FBI...
Key: Complain about this post
