I thought about doing the PoMoBlowfish thing, but I decided against it for a couple of reasons:
1) I would feel obliged to write something every day, whether I wanted to or not
2) you would feel obliged to read it every day whether you wanted to or not
3) some of you would feel obliged to leave little calling card smilies to show you read it whether you wanted to or not

...and that all adds up to too much "feeling obliged to" all round.

So, nah. I'm just going to apply my usual modus operandi - boring the smiley - titsmiley - tit off y'all every few days when I feel inclined to. smiley - biggrin

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Did you just say "y'all"? smiley - facepalm

You can call me TC

We love your journals anyway, KB. Now we have the added suspense of not knowing when one will turn up. Fine by me.

Not really added suspense, as we never knew anyway. Nor did you probably!

As I think the purpose of the journal-writing project is to get the site moving a bit, I think that you are among the last of us who can be accused of not contributing!

smiley - yikes Gosho's right, I did just say "y'all". I'll have to keep a close eye on that tendency...

There's nothing wrong with that. smiley - cross Y'all stop fussin'.

It's much more alarming than you realise. If I start y'alling I might forget what biscuits are - I'll start thinking they are special scones used for dunking in gravy!

I'm at altogether the wrong latitude to be y'alling. It's unnatural! smiley - tongueincheek

Just don't start saying 'what-all', okay? As in 'What-all do you want for dinner?'.

Sorry, but I had to unsubscribe from a whole lot of journals. It's nothing personal, I was just getting buried in threads which looked identical and missed stuff I wanted to read.

I'll resubscribe when it's over. Sorry if I've missed anything important among all those posts.

Oh, don't be sorry KB. The purpose of the Journal writing challenge is to get people comfortable about writing, more than they normally do. Those of you/youse/y'all who keep your own journals alive don't need a push. I love reading your journals KB, they're worth clicking on and reading.
I'm the opposite to you, because I've subscribed to quite a few new people this month, who're normally really quiet on site. Metal Chicken and coelacanth for instance both have really amazing journals *and* can really string words together. Some of the gems this year, from a wide cross section of the challenge entrants are likely candidates for worthwhile Post entries, or Edited Guide Entries. They're not just waffling on about trivia (like my journals do!)

I've not unsubbed, but I don't have time to read every journal, and just skip past various ones, especially those who get a load of readers anyway.

It's cool Lanza. I'm not complaining or being a killjoy - I was just posting in case anyone wondered why I unsubbed, didn't answer something etc. smiley - ok (it's the calling cards more than the journals, really - it got to the stage where about seven out of every ten posts on my conversation list turned out to be just people typing their names/writing one smiley and it melted my head a bit. smiley - laugh )

And I know it's marginally hypocritical, as I can be quite prolific with journals sometimes. And many of them are just me talking sheet, for that matter smiley - winkeye
