That was a long, long day. A panicking family can be heartwarming, but I'm damned if it can't be exhausting, too. smiley - dontpanic

Now that we've got news about how things are at the hospital, we've calmed down a bit and gone to bed - and stopped panicking, which is never a bad idea. I'm taking this opportunity to slow down, have a (decaffienated) coffee, and a look at the sky, before we crank up to panic-style tomorrow again. Yes, Long.

Right. Does nobody listen to anybody any more? I mean, seriously - does anyone ever clamp their jaws shut and open their lugholes? Why is this person trying to persuade me not to do something that I'm just after telling him I had no intention of doing?

Well, we're leaving the weekend on a better note than we entered it. smiley - laughsmiley - zen

We're all a tad knackered, but the medical emergency didn't turn into what the doctor was concerned that it *was* developing into, so my mother was let out to go home again.

And the more, ahem, "panic oriented" members of the clan have relaxed a bit as a result. smiley - laugh

....and she's back in hospital again. A brief visit to the doctor, who sent her to hospital in an ambulance. (That doctor's one of the best I've ever come across, incidentally. Incredibly perceptive and on-the-ball. A good one to have around!)

She's back home now. And actually looking very well (but tired).

And there's now a (by all accounts rather smiley - drool ) nurse from the Phillipines who will now have to to his job, now that he's released from tea-and-wee-chats duty. smiley - laugh
