I'm popping in as one of the <./>aces</.> here(aka assistant community editors). We greet newbies such as yourself and ease your settling in process. Take some time reviewing my colleague Feisor's list of Hints and Links at A719840, as well as examining the various features. Among the many obvious items Feisor mentions are our newspaper <./>thepost</.>, <./>MiscChat</.> and the numerous questions in <./>askh2g2</.>.
However further investigation will reveal a multitude of potentially interesting spots. Just a couple of those are the Researchers' Map at A5076614 and the different Regional Researchers' Groups at A660313 ...but there're so many more.
