still trying to find my way round this site only joined yesterday thanks to cal! dont go till sat supposed to be sorting my stuff out today ready thought id go on line to apply for tv licence and got sidetracked with hootoo!

i dont actually no cal! hes a friend of a friend has me email address on msn messenger so talk to him on that! cudnt do that yesterday cos only just got internet at home so tried to download messenger and it dint work! finally done it though!

Hey, could you do me a huge favor? Please quit using textspeak. It's really hard for me to understand, as computers are relatively new to me as well. I don't even have a phone with text messaging capabilities!

really? ok ill try i should be able to do this i do have an a level in english!
ive had a mobile for years always had text just comes naturally to me now! you should see my friends when they text hardly understand it myself!

Yep! I'm in my last year before I get my degree! Probably going on to graduate school, though.

Uni is fantastic! I'm having so much fun! There's so much more freedom up here than when I was living with my parents. That can be a good thing and a bad thing- good because you get to go places and do things that you wouldn't have otherwise, bad because sometimes it cuts into your studying time, budget, and housework.

You should really invest in a crock pot or electric slow cooker- you can put your dinner in there, go to class, come back a few hours later, and it'll be ready to eat. That's how I survive night classes, anyway.

night classes? are they the ones which happen when you should be sleeping eg before noon?
i cant cook at all spo ill live on microwave food anyway!
really looking forward to it though i live in yorkshire at min goin to uni in cambridge near london? england obviously!

Live off microwave food? That's what I thought I'd do- bad idea. I gained 15 pounds, and I'm still trying to work it off! Trust me- the slow cooker is the way to go.

It really is amazing how much stuff you need to live on your own- don't forget little things like laundry soap and cleaning supplies. Little things like that add up.

I hope I'm going to get a government job doing research, either with the Environmental Protection Agency, NASA, or the US Geological Survey. What are you studying?

cell and molecular biology and chemistry then im gonna do a pgce and become a teacher woz thinking of moving to ireland, america or australia to teach though think i will hav to do another teaching qualification there
my mum been buying me stuff for uni she got me washing stuff cos she figured id never buy it! dont no wot gave her that idea perhaps its cos u cant c my bedroom floor!

There's another reason why you shouldn't use textspeak on hootoo- I guess a little while ago, they had some huge problems with ppl hu tlked lk ths clogging up the fora with unintelligible posts. Since then, it's been sort of a rule of courtesy that we use as little textspeak as possible.

Anyway, that ends my history rant!

Whew! I just finished my abstract! Time to get it proofread!

I have to make a scientific presentation, and an abstract is like a topic paragraph- what my research is about!

I had night out last night, too! A band was playing at a local bar, and my friends knew the drummer, so I got invited. Sort of a jazz/funk/calypso/blues deal- they were awesome! I had a lot of fun, but I also had a few too many s for having an 8AM class in the morning!

think i mite actually have everything i need! you watch ill forget something! though i have the most organised mother ever who has bought everything the local supermarket had!
