Ah, but you see, you don't understand the specific appeal of such skate-boards. 'Twas best described as 18, dark of hair and eyes, very sweet natured and delightful in all ways to the male eye. And inordinately fond of skate-boards.

At 19 or so, most males will do the silliest things to induce a pretty smile. And for some, I guess even the "19" aspect isn't really necessary, eh?

I figure that the day I stop appreciating a lovely lady, or the little glow from eliciting a real smile, ... that'll be about 2 calendar days AFTER my ashes are scattered across some farmer's field.

Until then, life can be so nice.

hows your day going anyway?

On the whole, not too badly. I've niggled, cajoled and out-right threatened one radio thingie into working as it should. And delving into another ...

Mind you, I'd happily trade some of our weather with anyone else. It's hazy-grey with smog, heat and humidity. Combined, it all feels like 40 C or a bit more. And we've the rest of the afternoon for it to get seriously warm.

Went into town this morning, that was about the most exciting thing to happen if the truth be told *grins*

Awwww, you gets to have ALL the fun. Just imagining all the choices, ... with stone or without, coarse or fine grit ... The mind boggles at all that excitement.

ummm then I got dragged round Asda (supermarket)

And so now you've extra laundry to do. Dragged about, and having worked a grocery store, I know how 'clean' the floors are kept.

I'm sure that your assistance was appreciated all the same.

oh Asda is very clean, they have to be in this country or they would be closed down by the health and safety people

As with our stores, they are ALL sparkling clean at the start of the day. But once the shopping hordes descend, keeping them that way is near impossible. Especially if it's a wet or winter day.

can't say I really noticed it's a problem really? Althought I have my hands full with a young child so I doubt I'd bat an eyelid even if a T-rex started charging down the alises

Of course you would. You'd be wondering just how many economical meals you might make of it.

As I said, I worked a grocery store for a time, so I do notice some of the littler things. In fact, because of them, I joined our military. The business season slows to a crawl around February and March, and I was the first to be let go. With insufficient time to qualify for unemployment insurance. The ONLY folks taking people on were the military, and at 17 I figured a 5-year pledge wasn't so much. It turned into a pretty good 21 years.

I'd be no good in the military, can't stand being told what to do

During recruit training, or "boot camp", I didn't find it any more rigid or disciplined that what I grew with. And after that, except for the occassions when in a training environment, I was quite lucky. Every unit I ended up in, I was given a pretty free rein as to how I did what-ever I needed to do.
