Scrap that, all of them on now.
I will buy a German army consisting of a King tiger, 2 tigers and an elefant (tank destroyer built on converted tiger hull); and a British army made of 4 shermans, a sherman firefly, and a grant. There is only about 2pts difference between these and so they can fight quite happily (no bets please, it's too close to call). I will also buy a destroyed sherman and some pre-coloured cotton wool for smoke and flames.
When I have it all together I'll let you know and ou can help me conduct some test battles.

I am open to suggestions for the colour scheme on my British force, but my Germans are going to be painted like the SS uniform, so all in black with white symbols and silver detailing. Maybe with bronze tracks like my Leman Russ Vanquisher. Should look good. I am tempted to call one of the tigers "kriegschwein" (warpig to all you non-german-speakers). I won't name the british tanks, just number them, but my german force is going to be the one I work on and use most, and so all the tanks will have their own name and number, with customisations and some battle-damage. I will include plenty of big stuff (if I can get some good pictures with scale and the right materials I will scratch-build a Maus and a Tortoise) and possibly a few small and zippy light cavalry tanks.

Scrap all that stuff about zippy tanks as far as the germans are concerned, I'm going to be including some gun emplacements (find them on the ALL NEW army list).

Do you want to help me do a brief revision to the Armoured Supremacy rules? It will basically change how infantry are modelled, work out any bugs from the core rules (especially cover saves), introduce command squads, possibly include formations that have to stay within a certain distance of one another, and introduce limitaions on what units can be included in an army. It will also introduce new armies such as the Eldar, Tyranids and Necrons.
This could be what we do on Friday. Have a large game of Armoured Supremacy, and note down any rules issues.
Infantry will now definitely follow the same rules as Epic infantry as far as modelling is concerned. And the Hydra will no longer get 4 long-ranged AA guns for 20pts. That is just unfair. It will now get only 2 and cost 25pts. And Marines need drop pods. And Orks need Gargants. And the list goes on.

In the Epic player aids you can find great proxy models for Necrons (who have experimental rules also available) and Marines (but only tactical squads, assault squads, rhinos, whirlwinds and predator destructors) in TWO colour schemes (red with blue bits and green with red bits, I prefer the latter).

For armoured supremacy I have sorted out the unit and weapon types.
There will be 1 rulebook plus 9 army lists (imperial guard, marines, inquisition, chaos, orks, eldar, tau, necrons, tyranids) to write, and I am now going to add rules for jump troops and mounted troops.

I have started work on the rulebook, but it will be the army lists that take time, as for the new ones that I don't own a codex and will need to use the resources in the old WH40K rulebook.

Exactly.
Also, after a double bombardmet from my Whirlwind on a Defiler (the other one was killed after three turns of sustained bombardment) one of my Grey Knight Terminators thought it was time for some heroics (after all a Scout Marine had been killed!). He charged at the Defiler, swung his Nemesis Force Halberd and destroyed it in one hit!
Yeehar!

I have completed the new Armoured Supremacy rulebook, and will now start the long and lengthy process of the Imperial Guard army list, then the long and lengthy process of the Space Marine army list, then the long and...
