Ian. Dai has exercised very sound judgment in assigning the Institute offices to Penscynor Wood. The lads will derive no end of companionship from the endangered species to say nothing of the dinosaurs.
I guess that it is the Coronation of Her Wiliness Queen Elizabeth the First. Why? Because we are playing with Tudor Rules. And because Delwyn is involved. Delwyn, you remember, is descended from the Raven King (Cu ui'rhaivain or Craven as you saxons know it) whose domain and realm was the Tower of London. (thus is my logic)
Pork. Yes I know it well. How many things of which Dai sings exist not only in the hidden hills of Europa, but also on the coast of Huron which is not hidden per se but comes in and out of the mist as an inverse function of l'elixir de larde fraiche (pork wine, if you must know).

Yes, Tim. You are (as always) right. I do indeed mean gyros. My gyro is Her Wiliness Queen Elizabeth the First. Do you have any gyros, Tim?

ani ibiishikaa Posted Aug 30, 2004
Dai. As for the year of Her Wiliness's coronation: it was 17 November 1558.
Moreover, the chicken did indeed succumb to foul pest and departed this mortal coil before, during or after the actual event.
I hope this clears up any questions you may have had. Ani.
Do I win? If so, wot then?

Ah but oats, barley, rye or spelt were not mentioned as ingredients for the Seder. What do you think of spinach matzoh? Spinach would be legal.
Not!
I'll have rye and ginger. OK, I'll bring my own ginger.
First of all I would like to thank the Canadian Olympic Committee (all two of you), my team-mates (those of you who survived the Air Canada lunch), my family (for not being quick enough on the uptake to discover the missing funds), and my coach Garth the Stultifier, a true Elizabethan.

Ani, with your education, it's probably worth really familiarising yourself with the Victoria Line, Circle line and District Line. With the game now being played by a wider group of players, who may not grasp some of the intricasies of the game, armed with the knowledge you'll be able to play the Pascal Pinion, and the Descartes double back. Both these moves are based on mathmatics, but the real elegance and beauty of them is they'll tie your opponents up for at least two moves.
Hope thsi helps

Hi Ani,
Spinach would be good.
But, the Jews says that the Matzot must be made from one of the 5 grains - unless you have a medical need for them to be different, in which case, of course they must

Ah, the jews say five grains? heavens, how did we end up with only one? Ani.

Descartes: I commute therefore I am?
Pascal: I wager; does anyone remember the calculus for choosing a god?

I know I'm slow sometimes - I just noticed the googly eyes by people's names. Hello Ani, I know you're out there

Hello Sally! Yes here I am! Over here; yes a little to the right. Yes, that's me with my hand in the till. D-oh!
Listen, I am rather put off with these googly-eyes, these paltry excuses for fine art. I myself, upon registering as a CTMB refugee, distinctly selected a quasi-cubist deconstructivist portrait of a green...well...lady. This, I understood would represent me, would go before me in a virtual way as a cyberbanner.
But has it done so? Not to my knowledge. Only these conveyer-belt facsimiles of bio-optic radar.
By the by: I have been sowing the seeds of freedom under the noses of JontheFarmer and DaleoftheRock. Ah, patience. I must remind myself how slowly I myself caught on. Ani. PS: wanna help me?

Hi Dai, I'm great thanks.
I'm glad you found your password.
I think on the CTMB they've either sacked a mod, or had a rethink, or perhaps one of them is on holiday.
There's been more freedom recently.
Perhaps your dpearture caused a review.
I nip over to my only Welsh client about twice a year to Llandridnod Wells.
It was Ponty Pridd I worked at fairly often albeit twenty odd years ago.

Hello Tim my old Butty Bach
How are you keeping – from the sound of it you are hors-de-combat after the hors-d’oeuvres. It’s inevitable that eating something that has to be dragged, kicking and screaming and apparently in your case bucking, to the table, is sure to give you the gallops [or trotters depending on species]. Take my word for it, and a lifelong association with Delwyn is a sound apprenticeship, never, ever touch anything that isn’t “flambé sans cendre”.
Let me know when you are back on your feet [or at least not permanently seated so to speak] so that we may resume our preparations for the grand gala re-opening and stomach pump fest. We will keep the Andrex on ice until then.
All the best
Dai
PS as you haven’t mentioned the kidney stone problem is it safe to assume all is now well in that department?

Heavy. Is Ponty Pridd the same as Pontnewydd? Ani.

Hello Dai,
Tim's in forn parts again this week. No sign of the kidney stone, but as far as we know it's in there somewhere. He's got to see the quack in a few weeks.
Have you had a look at Ani's thread about more refugees? Now that you've re-emerged, so to speak.

Ani, I didn't know you knew about the sheep and stockings, amazingly on the odd occasion when a lady is present, they ask her to don a jumper before moments of passion. Seems once you get hooked on this well that's it!

Ian. I am unfamiliar with this European custom of donning jumpers. Jumping dons, yes. Ani.

Sally. Re your poignant question to Dai <>:
I don't think Dai has figured out that there is a world beyond 'home again home again jiggedy jig.'
Perhaps if he were to click on my link up there where it says who it's from. Then he would at least get to the den where I am. (Of course I would be in a den. It is my nature to be in dens.)
Then, once in the den, he could stroll around (scroll down so to speak) to our livingroom (wherein the list of friends appears). There he might discover in a very virtual way the general whereabouts of the rest of us.
More strolling might then unearth certain other threads wherein certain of us have discoursed.
But, nah. Let's not tell him. Let him figure it out for himself. Ani.

Hi Ani et al
I've just arrived and had registration problems. Hopefully I will get the hang of this place before long and can join in.

OK here is my status report. Today I posted 'toodly doodly toodly doodly too too too too' which is the theme music for xfiles. That remained on the board untouched.
I also wished Ricardo buenos dias. And it was pulled before it even saw light of day!
Somehow I have the oddest feeling I am being indoctrinated (the principle of inconsistent reinforcement and all). I have noticed that the board has been very polite today. Probably because it's the end of the world. But let's see what tomorrow brings. Ani.
Key: Complain about this post
