Day has been hectic, but there were a few breaks in the clouds.

1.I apologised profusely to our members at the meeting this morning for not having sent the minutes of the last. In july.But I produced them the next second,and as everyone was having a before we started, that was o.k.

2. Proceeded to elicit everyone's sympathy by explaining that daughter had been off school for 17 weeks.

3. Produced a voice recorder to tape the meeting.Saving my likkul fingers,and making it easier for me to write up - and take an active part in the meeting.

4.collared the director of education and asked a few awkward questions, of much interest to us all.

5. daughter and I were introduced to a lady who may be the support worker we are short of.Here's hoping she'll take the job...

6. had poached salmon ,new potatoes and peas for tea.

7. the weather is gorgeous.(sorry, honey)

8. am up for the next few mornings at 6:30, so getting an early night myself,tonight.Not least because I woke in the night with the most horrible cramp in L leg.Still limping at 10: (must eat more salt).

9. in the rush this morning, forgot to feed Flossie as I got up.Not to worry, within 30 mins, she had caught and eaten her own.(mouse, I think).Still wanted half my toast ,though.

the weather was inconsequential while I was there you and J were far more than the sun could offer

Well those ducks are gonna enjoy tomorrow.Rain forecast all day.

There again ,they said sunshine today and all we've seen is cloud.

saw it on tv, rain coming down from the north, should hit us by the weekend, not bothered though

Well, it didn't rain!

Got a line full of washing, though putting the sheets on was comparable to raising sails in the north atlantic.

When the wind increases to 30 mph, it's not worth taking the laundry to the line.The sheets shred.It was 23+ mph this afternoon.

Burnt the spuds for lunch and the couscous for tea.Not a good day, culinary-wise....
