No Prof: we're in limbo.They're phoning us monday.We'll be at the hospital then and my phone will have to be off.I'll hav to nip out a lot,get voicemail and phone 'em back.A pain

Aw no. not more?.
Weekend was so so ,thanks.could've been worse.
The BBQ went .Food was lovely.The rain stopped half an hour before we got there.Daughter was fairly morose and I was preoccupied,but the company was good.Found it hard to concentrate on anything,so it was easier to listen.
Daughter had too much of the wrong sort of food - even a slice of birthday cake.Not a good idea. I was cleaning her up and stripping the bed at 5 am this morning.
Had at least 12 phone calls whilst trying to cook tea(roast brisket),and arrangements that ex made yesterday for coming with us to the hospital were changed as many times.
Managed to do laundry,and huge pile of ironing (even though every time I pegged out in brilliant sunshine and blue skies, it started raining within the hour).Got bags packed and nearly cleared crockery in sink.I'm bound to forget something(as long as it's not unplugging the iron).

All this rushing around,and then you get to hospital and the inactivity is crushingly boring.

my son, after his nights out, now takes plastic bucket to bed for company

it's hard to refrain from certain foods, no matter what the reason, especially when young

my washing is still in the washer, waiting to hang out,,daren't for the same reason

for son too!

Methinks the sales of ceiling airers will increase .Lots of people had them in the "old days".Forsee a return.....

not enough room in kitchen for one and don't trust ceiling anywhere in the housewe used to have one when I was at home(mam/dad etc)

Why did people put them in the kitchen, of all places? Sheets with a boiled cabbage aroma

at home the kitchen was also the back living room,suppose because of the fire.my grandma's house across the road had the black fire with oven at sidethe smell of fresh breadand toast done the right way -open fire

Ah,there was a cast iron range here ,when I was little,too - behind where I'm now sitting.Got taken out in the 70's ,as we'd stopped using it.Worth a fortune,now I'm told.Horrible to clean,though.

I might get an airer .But heat rises, so it'll be upstairs.Somewhere.

Have you seen the piccy's of the latest floods? The Severn and Avon Rivers burst their banks.I hope Puss is o.k. in Litchfield.

was it a long haul from stoke ?

it will be 15 year since I was down there, as it was during my divorce and the friends of my mam, said that they could take me and kids down with them for a break(they were 5 and 6 at the time)

Came back from Stoke the scenic route.Took from 1pm - 7:30 !

We should have crossed our eyes too - op: postponed till Sept:probably..Haven't got a date.Saw the surgeons sec:today.Very apologetic, but can't say when it will be.BAH!

that is beyond words, except "fob off", at one point, mam had to take me to Leeds(only 14 mile, but was buses) up to 3 times per week and in those days, rent had to be left to cover bus fares
But I feel the frustration for you and J, it ain't fair by a long way

night Jolly, with long journey and company, if I don't see you on hootoo for a day or 2, I know you'll be recharging the batteries

No it's not.I do feel for her, especially as it's her first year at college starting sept: 10 th .She's ever so afraid she'll miss the first few weeks,.But she may have no choice.
