DAVE of SOL 3

Hello my name is Dave. I am a human as far as I am aware and I come from the Large SuperComputer called The Earth. Yes that thing under your feet that scares you occasionally with it's tremendous power.
I am told that I was born although I have very little evidence for this. Most of this evidence comes in the form of stains on very, very flat bits of wood.
I live in the Northern Sub Tropical Zone.
There is a small island off the coast of Europe.
It's not much to look at and is dirty most of the time, but it's certainly not the worst place to sit to enjoy the big star as it desperately encourages me to make animal shadows on the wall behind me.
I like doing many things, but most of them involve not doing very much at all.
Like this for instance.
I would be interested to know. Who would want to read the strange ramblings of a person sitting on their own at a PC, at five twenty in the morning, in a sleepy little tourist trap off the coast of that larger body of land, in one of the big bits of water, on that jewel of the night sky ( as seen from somewhere else in the solar system)called The Earth.

Will anyone?

As Mr. Pink put it.

"Is there anybody out there?"

And if there is indeed someone out there. Will I need to discourage them from coming in without my permission with a piece of wood that I might have behind my door?

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
