But I hope you saw the point in the post. Della/Vicky is consistently rude, uninformed and prone to rants. She frequently launches ad hominem attacks on just about anyone who challenges her delusions.

Everyone actually debating on that thread treats her with respect and decency, which she patently does nothing to deserve. I just thought she needed to be responded to in kind, and the comment on Aspergers, monumental as it was in its arrogance and bigotry, gave me a good opportunity.

Plus, I just wanted to post in that thread, but I'm not really up to the level of the rest of you guys

Yes, with Della there is, I feel, 'Something Going On'. Why the anger? I know that SoRB can wind people up (me included!) - but I thought I'd been quite reasonable with her. Even if I have started taking the piss now. Still, at least I've gor a cool new nickname out of her.

She has her uses, though. While I'd rather have a debate with an intelligent theologian, she has given me insight to what the religious really mean when they say 'I believe in evolution'.

The homophobia, though. Really hard to take. If only these people could admit 'Look - I'm just a nasty person' instead of dressing it up in religion.

To be honest, I've been told off by the Italics for Della-bashing before, so I'm just making it clear I intend to leave her alone for a bit. Don't really want to wind them up.

Bradford's going really well, I'm really enjoying my job and after the first nine months of this year I can't believe I've got it so good right now. Work's become a bit slow, but apart from that, it's keeping me occupied.

My main challenge now is to start developing a social life here - I'm settled, so I need to start getting out and meeting people, which I always find a bit tricky. As it is I've been relying on my friends from Manchester a bit too much.

But I'm liking it, I get to take taxis everywhere and stay in nice hotels at somebody else's expense. Good fun.

As for Della, as far as I'm concerned Giford delivered the final blow with highlighting her post where she quoted herself and denied she's said what she quoted. I nearly peed myself laughing over that!

As far as I can say the "actually debating" bit is unfair I and everyone tried to debate but lost patence a while agon and woulhave snapped back to debate if it werent for total refusl to engage indebate from "the other side".
