I am a Theoretical Plasma Physicist with three decades of work experience in this area. I want to share my views, should anyone be interested, as to why I have , or am desperately trying to move on, in my life, by becoming a writer. I used to work long spells in the Atomic Energy Commission and later in a University figuring out the whys and the wherefroms in Space Plasma Science , and the solitons. It was rewarding while it lasted, but the politicised environ of the places where I worked, put me off. Too many bureaucratic bottle necks to meander through , almost perpetually, has been quite trying, so I left a reasonably secure job to venture into the 'unknown' of the 'men of letters'. I did publish profusely while involved as a Physicist, almost 75 original papers, as we used to call them and six books, in related areas. Naturally, my favourite writers are Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawkings, for their scientific writings. Among the fiction writers, I love Marcel Proust among the ancient and J Grisham from among the present writers.
