The idea of Jim Carey being anything in the movie seems to UNderwhelm everybody almost completely - atm people are complaining it should be made by the beeb not Metal Mickey...

i think disney would do a good job, almost anything they touch turns to gold. nothing against the bbc, of course. is bbc doing the red dwarf movie?
the thing that puts me off about the bbc is that it takes us so long to get bbc productions over here. when they make a movie, i want to see it, and i want to see it now, not in two or three years.

better yet, which studio is doing harry potter? they seem to be sticking to a primarily brittish cast. is that the fear wit disney, that they'll americanize it? i can understand that concern. it would be a tragedy...
