I'm just 1 of the Assistant Community Editors here, popping in to greet & welcome you, as well as leave you a few tips for getting around/feeling a bit more at home here.

The bus there is just one example of the many smileys, you'll find the complete categorized list of 'em@ A155909 . It gives basic instructions for using/creating each one & you can refer back to it at any time by just typing smileys into the search window. For decorating your PS or personal space, look@'spicing up your page' ( A690518 ). Another decorative option is the 'picture gallery'@ A692741 . Or there's 'the GuideML clinic' which might initially look somewhat intimidating, but I've been told isn't that difficult if you've done any HTML (it's@ A187229 ).

A few of my ACE colleagues have compiled lists of links designed to assist new researchers such as yourself. You'll find Seraphina's Links@ A1919937 , Shea's List is@ A534953 , Rocketman's Links are@ A725500 & Feisor's List Of Links can be found@ A719840 . Feisor suggests getting out & meeting people, you've got numerous options in that regard. You can add your comments onto a conversational thread (as you did about the hot dogs). Hopefully you'll meet or get to know a few of the others who 'subscribe' or have easy access to that thread. You can also do that-add your comments-in any of the Clubs & Societies listed@ A660340 . Like the smileys they're divided into categories...just choose an appropriate one & you're sure to meet a few like-minded folks.

There's also my friend pheloxi's United Friends@ A703126, plenty of friendly types there (including myself .) And of course speaking of yours truly, I'm an option as well.
