Derek Longfellow...
Hmm,
There was a man called Longfellow,
Who had a tendency to spit and bellow.
Then he got married,
And became much harried,
Now his knees are reduced to jello
Hurrah! An american ending.

The Dalai Lama is such a groovy guy, how many languages is it he speaks? And he told Michael Palin that he watched BBC when he had the chance

I saw Rolf Harris on a train once, carrying a wobble board - that was pretty cool!!!! Actually, I live near him, so I see him quite a lot. And I saw Michael Parkinson getting cash out of the Barclays machine in our local town, and Ernie Wise having his hair cut in the same plpace as my old fella - he said our youngest was cute (which she is) - that was many years ago, of course. And Wendy Craig pulling an old lady shopping trolley and buying a copy of the Big Issue!!!!

I LOVE Pam Ayres!!!! I had (have, actually, somewhere!!) all her poetry books when I was a kid!!
Did you ever listen to Ayres on the Air on Radio 4 - I used to listen to it driving, and was in absolute hysterics most of the time!!
What did your Dad do on Opp Knocks?? My next door neighbour wanted her daughter Mandy to go on it, because she thought she could sing better than Lena Zavaroni. She couldn't. She had a voice like running your nails down a blackboard, but us Mums can be a bit blinded, sometimes!!! Of course, my daughters sing like Charlotte Church before the fags ruined her voice!!!
www.taplowchoirs.org.uk (my older daughter is in the Girls' Choir and my younger one is in the award winning (!!) childrens' choir! Voices of Angels!! Just ask their Grandma!!!!!!!!)

The poem book I've got is her original small run edition she had produced before she became famous, must be worth a few bob on ebay, lovely lady.
My dad was a comedian, did all the clubs but his act didn't translate well to the telly, he was quite well know though during the 60s and 70s on the club circuits, very funny on stage, not so funny at home, true of most comics

I occasionally feel sorry for famous peoples offspring, particularly when they reach an age where they really dont reflect on the parent and have become their own person, and yet the media still says "Oh lets blame the parents" when they do drunken violence or something. I mean look at the Blair kid or the kinda annoyed Prince William. Hmm, did anything you did get blamed on your father Simmy?
Hmm, who do I know thats famous? My godmothers daughter is an actress and has been in londons burning and casualty and things...who else have I met? Er...this is awkward. I cant think of any.
Anyway, lellys clue could be Frozen Slimey Rotund Oval Terrapin, for use as delicacy lollypops in warmer countries?
