Are you actually a muppet fan? If so - my favourite was always Rowlf.

Yeah - sort of (I mean - who isn't!!) I used to like Animal...!!

Bluebottle Posted Dec 9, 1999
He was one of my favourites too, but they've replaced Rowlf and he's not in the new muppets anymore, which is very upsetting
Did you ever watch "Muppet Babies"?

The what???????
Don't think I've heard of that one ... is it a cartoon version??

Bluebottle Posted Dec 9, 1999
You never heard of "Muppet Babies"??? Yes, it was a cartoon version about 10 years ago that I thought was very cute as it had Kermit, Rowlf, Gonzo, Miss Piggy, Animal, Fozzy etc as kids playing games.. One of the all time best cartoons of my childhood.

Well, I was just growing out of it and heading into the nightmare of teen life... Still, you're never too old to watch cartoons or muppets.
Are you a "Dark Crystal" fan?

It's true that you're never too old ...I love A Muppet Christmas Carol..
Is Dark Crystal the one off film I'm thinking of, or is it a series (apologies for my ignorance - must be senile dementia setting in already!)

Bluebottle Posted Dec 9, 1999
Yes, "Dark Crystal" was the one-off film with Jen the gelfling taking the shard back to the Dark Crystal controlled by the Skeksis. A great all-muppet film. Truely stunning!

Yeh - I liked that one - great idea on the 'split beings', whose name escapes me...

Bluebottle Posted Dec 10, 1999
yes, I'll have to find that out. I've got the book of the film at home, as well as the video. I liked it lots.
Tell me, do you prefer Muppet films, or Muppet episodes?

Beaker (Muse of bad guitar playing and Pork Pies) Posted Dec 10, 1999
Can't say as I've really thought about it really. Nowadays, all there is are the films anyroad - I think the TV stuff is only available on obscure 'golden oldie' satellite channels... that I don't have...

Same here - apart from 2 "Best of the Muppets" videos that are an hour each that I gave my girlfriend for her birthday I haven't seen the actual Muppet Show in many, many years. I also missed "Muppets Tonight" too - but Rowlf wasn't in it

We actually have about half a dozen videos on which we taped the Muppet Show. I like the one with a guy who invented a time machine. I can't remember exactly how it went but in about the middle was "...When I pull this lever, I go travelling back in time. Time through backward travelling go I, lever this pull I when..."

I'd like to see them sometime...
So, who would be your favourite Muppet? Dr Bunsen Honeydew?
