You cheeky little minx, I've spotted it now!
So, you're reading all my other posts are you? (actually I think there's only one so it didn't take me long to spot which one you were referring to!!)
The next concert programme I do, I shall definitely send to you for proof reading, you could even proof read our concert leaflet which I really really ought to get started on - or at least, the web page which is its (just spotted that one in time - I had it's) basis. Oh no, that's just made me remember that I need to get artists' photos from some of the musicians and I haven't done anything about it.

Well it's rude not to reply to really nice people like H (and Achilles and Douglas and Eliza and Basia and Bette and er...um...can't think of any more) isn't it?
Did I miss an 'm' too?!! Can't be bothered to check.
Going! Goodnight. Not dripping now I trust. V. cool up here.

Hi Jane
Sounds like you almost didn't dislike the Ligeti!!!!

Was talking with C. yesterday re homophones etc since we'd been discussing some of the word games in the pub on Sunday.
He said how he was talking to the kids about this and how difficult it must be for them eg tear = rip and tear = what you weep - different words but spelt the same. And words that sound the same but are spelt differently - don't think he actually used the word homophone!!!
The big problem he said is that they do not speak words as they are written eg "I didn't" is pronounced "are day" in the Black Country (eg in Doodlie). I'm sure you must get similar problems?

Hi Andy,
My little darlings speak so badly that their writing reflects this eg I go'd to ve shop an buyed somefink for me bruvver's birfday - actually that would be pretty good as it's 12 words and I haven't included many spelling mistakes! I must sound so posh to them and their parents!
We had 2 of the lovely old Reading Aunties in today. Usually 3 of them, to hear children read individually, but one's just lost her husband. They're all in their 80s and have been coming to our school for years. They love our children as they appreciate the Reading Aunties coming so much.
Why am I talking about school when I could be discussing Ligeti?

Ligeti?
I'm listening to my Konono No 1 album at the mo - remember them? Sounds like they held the mike in front of their megaphonic speakers to make the recording (sorry!!)

But now I've forgotten how it goes. It's something like http//Boo, isn't it....
Quoted from message 189
I think you mean the cheating sort of way George! You do http:/ / (without the space between the //) in front of the word to make it go bold. Or you can install Jont's Scripts found here: www.jont.studioj.dsl... if you use Firefox or Opera.
MJ
xx
dear me you are shameless! I doubt you've ever spoken to George before and already it's kisses on the bottom!!
young ladies didn't used to be like that in my day.

Lucky I only had MabelJane {Dear dear Jane} and not anything worse!!!!
You have a habit of putting kisses on the bottom!! Not really my style. A peck on the cheek is about as far as I'll go.

Should've carried on as they do in Just a Minute and hoped you hadn't noticed - as indeed you hadn't. Yes, it could be dear dear, what have you done, Jane couldn't it? Do you think I've got away with it?
