Ooer the R3 Wafflers have been instructed to LOVE you over on that strange thread...
Hmmm if you don't want a fan for that horribly hot room let's think what you could do instead... get a big shaggy dog with a big hairy tail to wag under your nose? An electric fan should seem like a better idea now. Window blinds?
Must post the Schumann link on...

Not quite sure whether I've intruded on something between Baz and A or whether they're just messing around. They might very well have met up in London today for all I know - I haven't been following all the ins and outs of this one.

Sounds intriguing - I didn't bother reading the earlier posts but I will now!
Listening to the Schumann for the second time now - it's just so lovely. I love the old-fashioned string playing - the slight glissandi up and down to notes in this plaintive second movt.
Thanks again

Morning Andy!
V strange today as I'm on Firefox but there are no pictures - eg no eyes or orange colour on bar above etc. Can't see why.
Even hotter today. Must pot up my pelargoniums and begonias as they're bursting out of their trays poor things. The runner beans I was given are v weedy , not nearly as good as the robust plants I've grown in the past. Can't see them being v productive. Some don't even seem to know they're supposed to coil up round the bamboo cane - I'd have thought that was pretty instinctive!

Morning Jane
I think you're right about the heat, i'm looking for a nice big stone that I can crawl under for the rest of the day. Don't know that I shall get naything done. There's a one day game at Edgbaston today but don't think I'll go, it'll probably be packed and I usually park in the car park for Cannon Hill Park opposite so that's bound to be full which will mean parking miles away and walking - no, don't think so. Have you any plans/serious intentions today?

Have read a bit of the thread you pointed me at about the h2g2 cabals - now no-one can accuse you of trying to keep h2g2 a secret place for VIPs to meet, you never stop banging on about it (tee hee)
I'm close to dripping point already, must be the hot tea.

Just downloaded the Schumann but please can you leave it there a while longer till the others have listened to it.
Being kicked off computer by little R and anyway I should get on with jobs...
Wear a nice big sunhat, carry a parasol and go to that cricket! There's shade to sit in isn't there? Anyway your knees could do with the fresh air.

Hi Andy!
Glad you enjoyed the cricket - or at least the lazing around in a cool deckchair. Careful, there may be Brummie lurkers reading this!
I ended up spending all afternoon in the garden talking to my s-i-l and another two hours this evening talking to a friend in her garden! Oh well, weather's changing soon so we may not have much sitting around in gardens for a while. Not v peaceful this afternoon though as little R and 2 younger cousins were "Geronimo!"ing into the paddling pool, having a wonderful time.
No, I haven't peeked!

You shouldn't be dripdripping for too much longer (I am SO glad we communicate at long distance!!!) as it's going to get cooler. I've been fine - just got a bit overcooked this afternoon but didn't want to remain ghostly pale and do go brownish. However I've never been a tan-obsessed kinda gal - I was only really brown in Sicily and there of course I was still v pale compared to the natives!
Go wireless and email from down the garden!

C. came to the pub wearing his shorts but I didn't treat everyone to a glimpse of my still rather white knees and changed into trousers from the shorts I was wearing this afternoon.

Just had a quick look at the weather and you're right, it appears to be cooling down on Tuesday. Ch. is away at a festival of some sort this weekend but her photo shoot should still be going ahead tomorrow as far as I know. Really can't decide which face to wear for it!!
you may look at your card at midnight if you wish.

Which face? Well, if you have a chin underneath then reveal it! You could have a before, during and after sequence!
Thanks for that thread...so kind!
