re novices evening: it's a case of trying not to put new people off before they've got into all the inticacies of playing bridge at a club. Bit like my MC post re new posters in fact.

Dear me, I'm sweating buckets here, the sweat is running down my forehead. Daren't open the window because there are still several moths that got in last night and there'll be a whole lot more if I do.

Just changed your name on the script so it no longer says [tongueout] you'll be pleased to know - but I'm certainly not going to tell you here what it now says!! I leave you to speculate (tee hee)

Can we devise any new MC games specifically designed so as not to require the reply to be read for 5+ hours? There's a challenge for you! Any idea if the new posters have to clock up a certain no of posts or is it a matter of being modded for a certain length of time? If it's the no of posts the new game could mention that...
MJ Must just go and fetch my cup of Redbush...

Seen this? http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbarchers/F2693943?thread=3138021 No, just had a look. Blimey he was quick off the mark. Must say I haven't had a timer on me yet so I'm not too bothered at the mo. It was the quote facility I was more concerned about but obviously Jont doesn't quote much. This is now getting complicated as his and mine diverge further. I suupose I'll have to download his new version and copy my bits into it - they're all marked /* AMD */ so are easy to spot. Oooh you didn't know about the "M" did you? tee hee I already know your middle name don't I? - Mabel Enigmatic Jane

No, keep trying!!
Actually you're not that far away in terms of the correct letters with 2 and 3 but you'll never guess it (I hope).

oooh we came top tonight with 67.93% - we're obviously less inconvenienced by having to ditch all the complicated bidding devices we normally use.

That's too awful even to qualify for a Groan...
Melville? Mumplestiltskin?
Yes, I have the usual scripts black links but not this new one. I'll have to read wot Jont wrote again more carefully. Thought the link woz there.

I had another go at interesting the waffle crowd in h2g2 today by pointing out that it doesn't have the time delay but no-one seems interested. I suppose it's too out of the way here so they won't get stray R3 posters dropping in - not all of whom are that welcome.
