Aloha!
There is much in your PS that rings true, though in my case it wasn't a word from a friend, more a getting off my bum and sorting my life out that made me chirpy. I'd spent a lot of time living in peoples' shadows, fancying my straight mates, letting things drag me down. I left the comfort zone, moved to London, met new people and had to deal with stuff on my own. I no longer had shadows to live in and some of the chaps I fancied were gay!
It's bloody great when you can shed the shell and stand up to the world with the knowledge that you're a good person.

Can I ask you a really personal question straight off? (I'm about as subtle as a breeze block by the way 
!!) Are you gay yourself? I don't care if the answer's yes or no, I'm just so used to people being really open with me and talking to me bout everything that I'd like to know...if that's ok?

Hi babe, sorry I didn't reply last night, I fell asleep!! 
One of the perils of wireless laptops and being able to surf the web in bed!!
Talking bout rainbows I've a brilliant sparkly rainbow scarf, and in Uni a few of my gay friends kept trying to nick it, they never did succeed! 
How are you this morning? I've gotta go and file my paperwork with my accountant 
, self assessment tax return date is looming a bit too close!! So definitely gonna be having a coupla 
later to recover!

That's why I got ever so slightly drunk, celebrating the end of the t-word!! 
At least for a few moonths anyway!! Probably why I fell asleep mid-conversation too!! I'm amazed I don't have a hangover, I deserve one! 
Ah well, I think that's the effect accountants have on me, lol!
