Hello everyone. I am 10. I love animals and chocolate. We have two dogs called Kipper and Connie, two gerbils called Jeremy and Geoffrey, a hamster called Fire and one fish called Ray. I've got a little brother!!!!! (He likes anything Australian!) If there are any places on h2g2 for younger people, please let me know. |

From the famous Arecibo Observatory, which houses the world's largest single dish radio telescope, scientists are listening out for transmissions from space. Participate in this project for the search for extraterrestrial life with other h2g2 Researchers on The SETI@home Project. If you do take part, there is a small but captivating possibility that your computer will be the one to first detect a message transmitted from an alien civilization.Our PC is linked to this and it's fun to help the observatory, and watch the fancy desktop. |

Douglas Adams wrote about a Frenchman who was bitten by a Komodo dragon, a long time ago, and who in spite of all the medical care he got, still died from the infections several years later back in France.
Douglas Adams wrote a gruesome description of a goat being fed to the dragons, read it and you have a good impression of what is was like in those days.
