Who'd have thought it?

Had a great day today 
- went for a walk in the Cotswolds - absolutely glorious. Had a drag up a hill at the end and it didn't kill me! So glad that I gave up the fags when I did...I know that 2 years ago I wouldn't have countenanced the walk we did today. 
Still need to shift the weight though!
Oh well...off to see Mum tomorrow, hold onto the happy thoughts

I thought - if I just have Stella I won't drink so much...ohmigosd I have a house to clean before my friends arrive tomorrow...............

Back to the Edge

So the depths are still there, beckoning
And it's so tempting to drift downwards.
I thought that I'd at least learnt to float
If not to swim.
But the power of the depths still draws me
Down through the weakening filtered light
Into the half haze of shape and form
I'm nearly lost
