Hailstones, rain, misty, hazy days...
I really enjoyed our warm lovely spring, but was worried it was a touch on the dry side...
and now we've got thunder and hail! YAY!
The growing things will be happy

The hail and heavy rain got deeper into the ground than a light shower
Plus, apart from some of the blossom dropping, everything looked lovely and fresh and green after, it was like the air had been wshed

You've obviously never had your tender new plants utterly destroyed by hail then.
I have.
Rain I can do, hail brings out my cloches to protect them.

I kill plants without the help of hail... I was merely enjoying the weather which was interesting for once. We couldn't talk to each other in the workshop it was so loud... I was going to go outside in it but it slowed again and it's not so much fun when it's jut heavy rain...

The Thunderstorm was great last night.... There we were, nice warm evening, perhaps maybe even a tad on the humid side... Hey, lets sit in the beer garden at the pub... nice very nice outside not too much wind about....
"What was that?"
"sounded like thunder"......
From about ten miles away and then very quickly directly above ing into the pub to shelter from teh rain ensued
and then the rain really* started Luckily it'd ceased a bit ty the time they kicked us out the pub

Speaking of sound, I bought a pair of hand-made speakers from a friend a couple of years ago... We put them into the pub as the stage monitors yesterday, they sound fab. Apparently they are as nice as I thought they were
They got gorgeous chuky grills on em, too

it's okay
they were the best. i had several shops delivering me speakers and compared them pair by pair. in the end there was no question about what pair was the best. but after some years some of the rubber they were made of crumbled away
i later learned the rubber could have been replaced. that didn't make me any happier, coz by that time i had tossed them
'bout that, now back to the weather

Aw
I'm all about your speakers now, I hate it when things like that happen, you'd rather be left in blissful ignorance of what could have happened!

indeed
but for your understanding
i heard another dreadful story the other day. somebody trashed some of the best speakers ever

Can't have been Kieth Moon, he's long time dead . Incidentally he wasn't electrocuted by his vengeful speakers, took the more traditional rock star quick exit.

the speakers in question were JBL Paragon = two speakers built into a cabinet of finest wood the size of a grand piano
the owner wanted to use the wood for something else and sawed it into pieces

I'm off to the South Downs tonight for some spiritual recreation for the best part of this week, which I hope doesn't include being rained upon
Brings the thread neatly back on topic
