That's not really for me to say but i do suspect that you are indeed correct. You know they say that it takes one to know one

If you're not very careful, we may create a whole new mutual admiration society here.
Gone for SURE this time. Do have a great night, lady.

I do apologies. Was distracted by some photo that serephina drew my attention to. Some of the meets been part of. Looked like fun. So how are you today?
Intro
The Reverend Something or Other Posted Jul 16, 2004
I'm doing quite well. Yourself?
I've been browsing a few locations for the latest Meet pics as well, trying to identify the folks I know. Perhaps you could direct me to the one's you were browsing?

I'm doing fine. Feeling good. Amazing what a little sunshine can do.
You'll find those links at A2627390.

Hmmm, if you can find a way to package some up, we could use a bit of sunshine. It's been a dreary and mostly wet week here.
I'll take a look at the A-page, you can maybe tell a bit about yourself, your occupation, maybe interests in music, literature, just general stuff.

Only if you dothe same.
Here goes....
I don't work at the moment, due to that minor setback we discussed. I used to me a retail manager. That wa okbut i feel it's time for a change. I'm hoping to take some courses in IT and move into that field.
I am a bit of a goth who likes metal/rock music mostly. Bands like Foo Fighters, Korn, Queens of the stone age and Type o Negative. Mind you, if you looked at my cd collection you probably couldn't tell what my preference was. I also like Ben Folds, Harry Connick Jnr, and others.
Now if youhad a look at my bookshelves you probably could guess what i'm into. You would find most novels by Stephen Kind, James Herbert, Dean Koontz and Richard Laymon. You know, all the horror stuff. Like the fantasy stuff too.
I'm a big movie goer. Like a variation of styles. Sci-Fi seems to be a big hit for me though. Suppose i'm a little bit of a trekkie too. Sad huh?
I'm a huge fan of Hockey and have developed a particular bond with the Maple Leafs. Like their style. I don't know everything about the game yet but i will get there.
That's enough to be going on with for the moment methinks. What about you?

Hmmm. Left home early, just barely 17 due to conflict of personalities. Within a month, work ran out and the only ones hiring were the Canadian Armed Forces. I gave them 21 years in the trade of Radio and Telecommunications Technician. I was offered a job by a contracted company on the same Air base I was working on, doing the same repairs to the same variety of equipment. But without the uniform and all that goes with it. SOLD !!! And that is what I am still doing another 6 1/2 years later.
Your taste in books, except fantasy, is similar to mine. Horror, sci-fi, but also thriller, adventure, mystery, anything except romance. Our audio cassette collection, numbering about 600, has everything from the '50 through today that is NOT very heavy or extra-loud. Pop, rock, easy listening, a definite bent towards British rock and pop of the '60s and '70s.
I only follow hockey during the play-offs now. And then I still root for my favorite team since before they last won the Stanley Cup, the Leafs. So I'll suggest you have good taste in many a direction.

It's good to know we have some things in common. It's good to be a bit different too.
Hope you found the piccies alright. Time to go for now. I''ll be back later. Catch you again then maybe.

I forgot to mention, I am, and have been, a trekkie since the very first episodes of TOS. Not fussy about Enterprise, but very much enjoyed TNG, DS9 and Voyager.
In any case, I too must be about my business, that thing called paid labour. So do take care, and we'll meet again, dear.

Hello you
It's only 11;10pm. Plenty of time. I'm not usual asleep 'till about 2am. Does that me a bad girl?
I've always been more of a night owl. What time is where you are then?
Intro
The Reverend Something or Other Posted Jul 18, 2004
I'm replying a bit later, but it's just 6:20, we are 5 hours behind you.
So, ARE you a bad girl? Perhaps I should get to know you better
What have you been up to for the week-end, dear lady?
Intro
Detective Armani Posted Jul 18, 2004
Well i'm staying with my cousin at the moment. Have been all week. That how i've managed to come back here. It's a place Cumbernauld i'm in. It's just outside of Glasgow. There isn't much to do here so i've had to be well behaved
We've watched some dvds, surfer cyber-space and caught up on all the family gossip. I'll be going home in a few days so i won't be here as much.... but i will be back.
So what have you been up to this weekend? Did your weather improve any?
Intro
The Reverend Something or Other Posted Jul 18, 2004
The weather has remained terrible, ... hot, humid and rainy. And we drove 5 hours each way to my parent's home. It was my Dad's 70th birthday yesterday. Spending a day with him was worth any amount of nuisance or grief. So we are tired but
This "Cumbernauld", is it a health facility for your recovery? And I haven't actually asked, but how recent was the concern?
Intro
Detective Armani Posted Jul 18, 2004
It was eight months ago. November of last year. Got out of hospital just in time for Christmas. Not that i could do much but i would've gone crazy in there.
Cumbernauld is nothing like a health farm. It's known as the concrete jungle because of all the roundabouts, overpasses and underpasses that there are in this town. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside though. I find that very soothing.
So what's the name of the place where your parents live? I don't known your dad, obviously, but i wish him a very happy birthday!

Ahhh, so physically, you are about as well as you'll be, ... it's still a matter of reshuffling the grey-matter into some sense of order? Did you lose much? (I know this may be awfully personnal, but perhaps better now than stupidly later.)
I currently live in the small city of Trenton, Ontario, in the eastern part of the province. My Dad and Mom are still in my birth village of Formosa, Ontario, which will not show on any maps you might find. It has never been larger than 400 people. It is near to towns called Walkerton, Hanover, Mildmay and Teeswater, all of which my show on a Mapquest. (Especially Walkerton where I attended senior school, ... a few years ago bad water killed 6 people and made 2000 )

I haven't had many physical problems due to this. Just some double vision, speech impairment and hearing loss. Most of it was/is mental. My speech is almost back to normal. About 90% i'd say. I'm still working on it. I want that 10%.
I find that i have to concentrate harder than before. At the beginning i had trouble visualising words never mind trying to spell them. All my memories are still there except for the hospital spell. Don't remember anything much about that. That's probably a good thing.
So if i made any spelling mistakes now, please point them. Feedback is part of the therapy and resolve.

Dear, if I can help with grammar and spelling, I shall happily do so. I am very happy to hear of how much you have, and have recovered. So I will not dwell any further on that. If I get to fast or odd with ideas, PLEASE do ask for better understandings.
And so you say you are going home again soon. I gather you do not have good computer and internet workings at home? To stay with the hootoo thing regularly?
*BTW, I do like to toss out warm s, ... feel free to catch a couple as they fly past, ...*
