Long time no see !!!

All is well over here, thanks, hope same is with you'll. My niece is getting along fine, however, she admits to being "slightly" homesick. Unlike when we were there (in the 80's), nowadays, we can see and talk to her anytime, for any length of time. She'll be back home for X'mas.

Glad to hear you had a lovely day. Here in Colombo everyday is monotonously bright and full of sunshine. Sometimes, I miss the seasonal changes in your most beautiful country. Lately, we've been having evening thunder showers.

Hi Dhammita, i am glad to hear from you, also very glad your niece is getting along fine. Yes the wonder of modern technology, eh? I'm sure it makes everyiones life a little easier, especially at times like that, it must be quite difficult getting used to not only not having your friends near you and different surroundings; but also a different routine with everything especially the weather.

Oh my good friend i do not think i would ever want anything but perpetual sunshine every day, it is horrible the change in the seasons sometimes; nothing to look forward to except winter; at least when it is winter the air is clean and we have summer to look forward to.

I am working at the weekend actually Dhammita but i'm sure i will have a good one; thanks.

Never wish for anything but perpetual sunshine, miserable might be intersting, exciting even , but boring old happy(and warm) wins every time in my book

Hope your working weekend is going along superbly.

You are quite right, the lifestyle here is completely different. You must experience it first hand. Things are, as you say - "laid back", but, to a dangerous degree. Similar to the Caribbean Islands.

As for the sunshine, you will love it here - almost, perpetual sunshine !!!!!

I am in the middle of some work scheduled to be submitted on Monday, so, please excuse long periods of silence from this end.

...... no, still haven't mastered that !!!

Yes it is going ok, , i am just about ready for bed actually ( i am working night shift at the moment you see ), strange when everybody else is getting up i am preparing for bed.

Please no need to appologize for getting on with your work, after all hootoo is a luxury, although there are days it might feel like a nessesity.
I hope you find the time to concentrate on your work for Monday, so you can get it all done well and enjoy the last of the weekend.

Dangerously laid back!? I like the sound of that, but wouldnt want to be too relaxed for my own good ( or anyone elses ) for real.
I'll settle for happy and chilly .

Monday went off quite well. Managed to complete all the work. Trust your Monday went off well too.

There was a torrential downpour this morning, but cleared up by noon.

Temperatures here rarely go below 24 degrees C.

Yea Monday always "goes off " well, as long as you get the morning out of the way no trouble.

"Went off" is quite funny actually
when people say went off, the only thing that comes to mind is , a big cannon being fired, or a bomb going off( maybe engineers demolishing some buildings , blocks of flats perhaps to make way for a new development ).
I wish my Monday was as exciting or productive as yours, it just went well, a bit boring, but no mishaps or emergencies.
( i couldnt resist that )

Also i forgot all about the time difference, so goodnight Dhamitta sleep well no rain tomorrow.

Lots of drama tonight in Colombo. An hour ago, suspected seperatist LTTE airplanes carried out a daring aerial attack on the main power generating installation. Three miles from where I live.

Not much damage, thankfully.

Yes glad no one was seriously hurt Dhamitta, i hope one day all people will live in peace.
We had troubles in our country, well near ; Northern Ireland i mean; for a few years; but everyone got sick of it, the people had enough-being such a small place it just made everyones life a misery; and thank God common sense overcame hatred. It is sad when people who are virtually brothers cannot live together in peace; but a joy to know there is always a way-some day.
