So hows my fave moggie coping in all this heat eh then? My poor Quark and Katie are looking particularly frazzled, off their food and moulting like hell! I vacuumed Quarks 'sleeping chair' on Sunday and it has already turned white again instead of the lovely goo blue colour it should be!
News in on the Post: Aaron O'K has asked for his column back, so IMWRS will start again this week. Have had nothing through from any more Meet attendees - I think this oppressive heat stifles the creative writing juices!

I know - I cooled down by watching the swiming this am, but the computer room is by far the hottest in this house and I am dripping all over the keyboard. I hope I don't short-circuit anything!

IRL I have to apply for two really good jobs that are basically my good old Civil Service board sort of stuff only this time for the Scottish Parliament and they really will have to have all my attention focused on them this evening.

Methinks I have been infected 
My hard drive is dying and I have already lost some files! I suggest that you exercise extreem caution if you get any emails from me!
I am now on TM's computer, but I can't seem to upload any work to h2g2 at the moment - things are not going well for me dear Greebo. 
Hopefully TM will install a new hard drive tonight, but it may mean I'll have major problems sorting everything out.
It may be a good idea to contact Pastey and ask him to check the Post emails etc as I daren't even open my OE!
ICQ will also not be an option for a while - so sorry about this Greebo - usually my virus checker does a good job, so I don't know how this damned thing has sneaked in!!!

Update:
hard drive working - but not stmp via OE - so I'll have to use my webmail for now!
incoming email appears fine 
ICQ re-installed and working
Have managed to add and update a new entry, but still getting time-outs on trying to edit anything else???!!!
Will try again tomorrow and try to figure out if it is something my end or h2g2 which is causing this major problem - I tried to update the AGG/GAG title as they requested - no dice! 
Thank goodness I had all the Post stuff pretty much up to date before this problem manifested itself! It may well mean that you'll have to put the Front Page up again tomorrow if there is no improvement - TM and I are quite at a loss as to what the problem is.
On a personal note - I have to drop by the hospital and book in for tests tomorrow, but these won't probably occur until about a months time, so I'll be about, although dosed up with stuff other than alcohol!
