Yes! Actually, I think I know where the list is... as I know I've looked at it and subbed to the bookmark thread. Ideally I'd like a step-by-step guide to ACEing... I'm worried I'll do it wrong!

Hello and welcome to h2g2!

My name is Mr. Dreadful (don't worry, I'm nice really) and I am one of the Assistant Community Editors, or <./>ACEs</.> for short... we're here to welcome new Researchers, answer any questions they may have, make a nice hot cup of and generally make sure you're okay.

If can see a load of dolphins on your pages, you are using a newer version of the site which we call Barlesque (or, colloquially, Barleyskew). While it's very nice to look at, unfortunately there are still a few bugs here and there so I would recommend you visit the older version of the site by going to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2. It's a bit faster and has fewer errors (although there is the Unknown Error, which is a mystery)

If can see a load of green and black boxes, you're already on a version of the site that works. You can also choose different skins by clicking on Preferences off to the left. You can also add a suffix to your name, a feature no other BBC iD site has.

So... I guess you're here because you read an Approved Entry and enjoyed it. That's how most Reserachers (myself included) started out here. You might have decided to comment on an Entry, or even write one yourself... both are great, and there are also places like <./>AskH2G2</.> and <./>MiscChat</.> where you can talk to other Researchers about Life, The Universer and Everything! A quick overview of the ways you can contribute to the site can also be found here: A83344313. As you'll see there are a lot of things to do around h2g2!

It is also worth your while to have a quick look at the <./>HouseRules</.> for general conduct stuff and, if you want to write an Entry for submission to the Edited Guide check out the Writing-Guidelines

While your here, why not tell us a bit about yourself? Click on 'My Space' to get you back to your Personal Space, then click 'Edit This Entry' and put a few things down.

Fan-dabby-dozey. Seriously. It's full of information, is enthusiastic, kind and welcoming. I like it.

How are you set for the actual nitty-gritty of knowing how to find the lists and so on?

I've found the NewUsers list, but I'm not sure what we do with newbies who have nothing on their PS because obviously we don't know if they belong to us, Archers, or P.O.V... I saw one who was already on Pre-Mod somehow! I assume that's something one of the other forums does.

I think that lots of personal Spaces have to go through pre-mod; at the moment I have no evidence of whether these go on to h2g2 or somewhere else.

We ACE them all, just in case. It is very time consuming though.
