So... we've had a letter from the solicitor giving us details of what's coming with the house, the land registry documents, planning permission details for the extension and other general house-y stuff.
He reckons we should be in the house by Christmas assuming everything continues to run smoothly.
In other news we've made a shopping list of furniture we want for the new place and will be taking a trip to Ikea at some point to purchase it.

My Dad got a bit of a shock a few months back when changing some of his credit card doobrys over to a secured loan on the house to save money in interest repayments; Found out that the house he'd bought new about 40 years ago was built on land that at the time no one knew who owned it 
He had to apply for land registry as if it were a new house 
apparently in those 40 years no one had turned up and said 'oi this is my land', which is kinda luckly really as it might have then gone back to the origioanl owners ownership
